      I finally picked up their Christmas cd's for a decent price.  I see some time spent burning into a single "best of" in the near future.  Any other fans out there?

[sm=hello.gif]  I am a fan!
I mainly listen to their holiday music.

NaiveTempest -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (12/16/2007 9:40:04 PM)

I've been to a concert of theirs and it got me hooked. I have 4 of their CDs and their DVD. I love the "Music Box Blues" song.

EvilGenie -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (12/16/2007 9:56:59 PM)

I caught them live and fell in love with it. I haven't gotten the holiday CD yet, not enough time to look frankly.

Level -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (12/17/2007 3:49:10 AM)

I've only heard the "Christmas In Sarajevo" tune, Rich, but I do like it. I didn't realize the TSO was made up of some of the members of Savatage, though.

The holiday cd rocks.... all their music does...

DefiantFlower -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (12/17/2007 4:23:36 AM)

Every single year around this time, never fails, "Christmas Eve in Sarajevo" comes on the radio while my entire family is out driving around somewhere. The energy it creates is inescapable. We all do our own versions of the little girl conducting and pretty much look like a bunch of idiots having some strange fit cruising down the road. But it's so much fun...we're absolutely insane.

But yeah...that song has found its way into our hearts, especially during Christmas! [:)] And I'm just imagining scening to it...now that would be HOT.

chellekitty -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (12/17/2007 5:44:29 AM)

where is the - i don't own any of the cd's but i want to go to the christmas concert every year, but it is always sold out by the time i get to the sales office - option?

they play a christmas concert in san antonio every year....as of right now, for 2 seats together, the best seats they have left are in the nosebleed...if i want 1 seat, by myself, i can get in the middle of the first balcony........woohoo....i want floor seats, dammit....who do you have to sleep with around here to get those...ok, where do the Spurs hang out....it would be such a chore to have to sleep with a professional basketball player....lol...umm *stops rambling*

I never get the warm Holiday fuzzies until I hear that Christmas Eve song on the radio, or in the mall, or at someones house. I love TSO and their music.

camille65 -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (12/17/2007 5:57:52 AM)

Huge fan of theirs, saw them a few years ago and it was  wonderful.

PeterJay -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (1/28/2008 8:56:52 AM)

"Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) was first released on Savatage Dead Winter Dead. It was such a huge hit that they (Jon Oliva & Paul O'Neil) wrote a Christmas CD & released it under the TSO name. Savatage is too heavy of a name to put out a Christmas CD.

beargonewild -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (1/28/2008 9:11:07 AM)

After casting my vote and reading the posts, I'll be brave enough to publically state I've never heard of them.

SubinMaine -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (1/28/2008 9:19:08 AM)

i'll admit i'm a HUGE fan...i love the way they modernize a lot of the classical pieces (i'm a huge fan of classical music as well as the "faster/harder" rock [;)]).

Phin -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (1/28/2008 9:19:50 AM)

a buddy of mine worked their last tour. he wore a pedometer and said that he averaged walking 30 miles a day

Savatage is one of my all-time favorite bands!  TSO was a gimme, as far as I was concerned, when the talk started about the project on the website.
I own all the Savatage music, and the first 3 TSOs..
I have yet to see TSO live (although I've seen Savatage more times than I can count..LOL)

          Try Level's link, Bear.  I'm sure you've at least heard the music, even if you don't know them by name.  We are simply going to have to drag you, kicking and screaming if you prefer, into the 21st Century.

beargonewild -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (1/29/2008 6:41:31 AM)

Well, I just watched a few videos of them and all I can say is I LIKE!

knees2you -> RE: Trans Siberian Orchestra (1/29/2008 6:59:09 AM)

Great Band!

Always, Ant[sm=idea.gif]
