It it just me, or does Garbage's music tend to have a lot of femdom/submission themes running thru it? Maybe that's why I love thier music so much, but I wanted to know if anyone else picked up on it. ^_^ Hugs, ~submissiveAK~

Yep. The video for "Tell Me Where It Hurts" has some definite undertones to it that are pretty damn close to what you are describing.

I came across this site a while back when I was looking for some D/s themed songs for a mixtape for Master: http://www.adrianhunter.com/exsx/jukebox1.html Garbage is definitely mentioned there. My faves are Depeche Mode (Master & Servant, Strangelove, In Your Room, Mercy in You, etc) and Nine Inch Nails (Sin, Happiness in Slavery, Closer). One of the most erotic songs I have heard in a long time is Between Breaths (an XX perspective) by Blaqk Audio. This is an electronic side project of the lead singer and guitarist for the punk/rock band AFI for those who haven't heard of them. This particular song is just so HOT! I came across an artist on MySpace who just does Male Dom/Fem sub music by the name of MasterMindFukk (not sure on spelling). It's fairly heavy in beat but the titles and lyrics are steamy and you can download all the tracks. Miss A

I think you're right about the garbage thing. I'm a male Dom and I love there music and had for years before I knew anything about BDSM or my own proclivities. Ditto on the Depeche Mode. -R

If your into heavy metal the norwegian band Carpathian Forest has songs titled "black shining leather", "mask of the slave", "sadomasochistic". The thrash band Sodom has the song "sodomy and lust". The band Marduk has an album called Obedience featuring a woman in extreme bondage on the front and some of the songs are about D/S. Electronic artist Leaether Strip has the song "strap me down".

You're right, Garbage does have a significant amount of D/s under/overtones. Depeche Mode has always been a good choice, too!
