I'm not much on public but that doesn't have a whole lot to do with D/s. I'm a homebody by nature and tend to attract / choose people who are primarily homebodies too.

I like going to clubs... I never really thought of myself as having an exhibitionist side... and if I do, it's not a very strong side of me... but I do like clubs because the atmosphere is generally very charged and can help to get me in the right frame of mind quickly. Clubs also generally have amazing equipment that it's very hard or expensive to buy for home-use. But I do think home-play is usually much more intimate.

i am generally a homebody, and my master is extremely so. i have attended a couple of munches and like to go to local events when i can, but he is not interested in joining in. we prefer to spend our time together at his house.

They're not mutually exclusive things.  Socializing is fun, and so is private time.

I'd say this is going to be like asking if people like to go out to movie and a dinner or stay home, watch t.v. and cook dinner.      MOST people like variety, love to learn something new, or meet new people.   I'm always up for a party atmosphere and safe, sane situations.

I love going to parties and being social.  For me, fetish parties are a time to hang out and see people (and be seen) with playing being a very secondary consideration.

When I lived in Texas, we used to go on a regular basis; but since coming back north...I don't go anymore. I find that the 'cliques' and 'one-upness' is just too much and tries my patience endlessly.

While I perfectly love a public scene/public use scene, I am much more of a private person who prefers to go without the snide comments, ego trips and hidden agendas that stifle the true fun at munches and many dungeons.

I much prefer having/being with/using my girl one-on-one (at home or out and about). Viva the Outdoors!!

Hi!
My Owner and i went to one Munch together because i wanted to go. We had never been to this one before and as someone said they stick with their own and really didn't want anything to do with the new people. It is though really nice to stay home and go out. i guess it just depends on the mood. My Owner only went because i asked him to. Otherwise he would not have gone. Have a great night

I rarely go out. Am a non-drinker, and don't like loud noise, so ... have to really be in the mood.

I like going out, but if I had a partner, I guess I would like staying home as well.

Most of the  local events i attend like  fetish balls  i end up working /vending .The whole munch thing is fine if i have the time .The dungeon parties  are great  no matter if i have a bdsm exchange or not .But the out of country and out of state events are  my fav's .Get to see people i have not seen in years ,meet new ones , and though working the events and vending is  kewl n all , everyone needs that presious  down time to just enjoy .Its the staying home  in the mancave  that is driving me nutty  right now .Matter a fact i am heading to the dungeon space tonight , and with help i shall vend and socialize a bit .
Bad thing about car wrecks all the  painful down time ..

Both! I can play harder and do things that you can't do in a club at home, so that has a lot of appeal. But, I enjoy public service and spending time with my friends, so obviously that appeals as well.
