i recently stumbled across something interesting and thought i would share. Has anyone here ever heard of Butoh dance? Any more information would be welcome. i think it'd be a wonderful skill to present to a Dom/me, something different that would probably hold great appeal for connoisseurs of body language. Here is the link from which i began my own investigation.
Butoh
This form of dance involves learning to move each muscle of the body at will to summon emotion or draw an image from/for the audience. It requires the development of great strength and awareness as it's usually practiced extremely slowly. Thus the central concept which concerns embracing pain as a way to live fully. An example of an exercise might be coming up to standing from lieing prone in no fewer than five minutes. Try it. Visualize each shift in in your body before it occurs and make the movement conscious. Promise you'll become aware muscles you never knew you had, and they'll be screaming when you're done. Please share what you've learned if you do try.
i really want to find someone in my area who teaches this.
