No i don't actually know. I heard someone say this...ohhhh, about 5 years ago...i used it on my profile when i was in chat. If you have any idea or anyone else does...let me know! I would love to give them credit for it.

I'm just gonna write down the first five that come to mind. There are too many otherwise.

ok; how about this one. One of my girlfriends was deserted by her cheating husband, and he had the gaul to ask her to pack for him. i went over to help; we opened the seams of his new suits and sewed in tiny shrimp. Then re-sewed the seams.

He later complained to her that the dry cleaners in the new city where he had moved were terrible; his new suits always came back smelling awful.

Eventually my girlfriend told her cheating husband what we had done to his suits; he was terrified by what we had done and begged her not to retain me to represent her in the divorce.

i sent my husband to the convenient store, and he met and had an affair with the Home City Ice lady who was making a delivery whilst he was buying milk. My husband was one of the most sexually active men in 3 states.....and i refused to touch him.

But plotting petty acts of revenge together is not the same thing as "standing together when someone is in need." There is a reason why revenge was cut out of our moral code (about three thousand years ago).

Do you really think you and your friend scored a victory by sewing shrimp into a man's suit? I can imagine a lot of men who, though otherwise enchanted with you, would take that one piece of information as a strong sign not to get involved with you (or her).

Lam..You truely wound me by suggesting i made myself unattractive. However, perhaps You needed more information. My girlfriend knew absolutely nothing before her husband announced her was moving away and had been carrying on an affair with a woman he was going to move in with for some months.

She was devastated; hardly able to get out of bed to look after her pre-school and teenaged kids.

As we giggled and sewed the shrimp into his suits, she sort of came alive. That petty revenge allowed her to feel some degree of dignity and she was pretty much fine after that. When her husband begged her not to retain me to represent her and there was real fear in his voice, she called me elated.

No shrimp were injured in the process; they were dead already. No one was injured; no one was even financially harmed; all he had to do was have the shrimp removed and clean the suits again.

It was "petite" revenge that sent a message to him, from her, that abandoning his family physically and financially might not be as easy as he thought. It also let my girlfriend know i was on her side....at a terrible time in her life.

Now, personally, i think the story is funny as hell. i've never tod it to any man or woman who did not find it funny. i don't know why You feel revenge -- no matter how "petite" -- is always unacceptable. But if that is truely how You feel, we shall just have to agree to disagree.

smilezz, your response made no sense to me. In what way is loyalty and protectiveness from women a reason to exclude them as friends? As it happens, most of my friends are Men as well, and vengence is much more predominate amoung Them.

In any event; time to let go of this hijack; no more from me on this subject.

See, this is what I'm talking about. Why should she have to hurt someone else in order to feel dignity? Why should she have to make someone feel scared in order to feel elation?

There's a whole undercurrent of resentment against men here that I don't understand. It's like it's girlfriends against the world. Girlfriends aren't the most important thing in life, pink. If a friend of mine asked me to help him plot revenge against someone who had wronged him, I'd try to talk him out of it, and if I couldnt, I'd give up the friendship.

Lam...i adore Men but i have no use for pondscum...i hold no overarching resentment against Men...i think You know me better than to think this.

The husband in the story got forced to pay child support, etc. No less than he deserved. Representing women who have a sub-standard man in their lives never blinded me to the great Men around me.

Well lets see here....sewing shrimp into a suit...hmmmzz....revenge? girlfriends stick together because why? Oh yeah! so and so cheated or whatever the case may be....lets go out and do something to him/her. YEAH! That's it! stick together and show him/her how........................................what?

I will never understand this...i will never comprehend how this works...then again, i have never been in this kind of structure before either....do women actually do this? lets ban together and sick 'em!!?? I guess being raised by Men have something to do with my background...i have never been in a clique...have had very few women that i would call friend(s), and the ones i did would not think of some kind of vengefull act as this. I don't get it..................and don't want to.

i can only say when it comes to revenge, even though it may feel good at the time you are doing it, it is negative energy and can eat you up inside. coming out of a very bad marriage, i must admit that, at times, it has crossed my mind, but i just don't have it in me. i rather just move on and think positive, which isn't always easy at times. i also don't have many female friends at all...im more the rebel who goes her own way in life.
i guess i still believe that in the end, everyone has to pay for their mistreatment of others. as they say "what goes around, comes around".
