Hey, lovely lady.  So glad to see you back and the new picture is very nice.  Glad you liked the catchy phrases.  They aren't mine.  They're just some of the ones that have caught my eye and that i thought were worth sharing.  As far as the "best vitamin for a Christian is B1", the B1 is a play on the words "Be One", as in be a Christian.  It's one of those that make you think and then say, "Oh, yeah."   All of the B-vitamins are a pretty good bunch.....[;)]

Dear Slavegirljoy
Brilliant.

I get all but the B1....maybe I just think B2 or B3 are better vitamins?

If you were accused of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

Easily the best of the list!!

Glad you like it.  This is my favorite, too, mainly because it holds me accountable and makes me think, "What if i were accused of being a Christian?  Would anyone even believe it?  i know what's in my heart and i know my faith is strong but, is that enough?"  i like being made to think about things like that.

The best lesson I've learned this year in My spiritual walk is balance. Is your church sending a balanced message to the youth? The youth at the last church I was a member of (I'm not there because I moved to another state) really looked up to the parents and the younger members (25-45) who lived a balanced life. They need to see us believing in Jesus and His teachings as well as loving our neighbors, as well as living a PURPOSE FILLED LIFE (By Rick Warren) great book by the way.

I did not grow up as a Christian. I was born again 10 years ago, and My life has never been the same. It has been My belief in Jesus and My Faith in GOD that has kept Me alive. It has also taught Me to love people for who they are, not what they are. It has allowed Me to be free from a lot of societies "expectations".Amen!

LadyChef, thank you for posting this beautiful message.  Even though, i was raised a Christian, a Southern Baptist, to boot, and accepted the Lord into my heart and was baptized when i was 12, i feel as though i have been born again several times, throughout my life.  i chose to be rebaptized 7 years ago.  And, there's no doubt in my mind that i would not even be here today, if not for the presence of God and Jesus and the Heavenly angles in my life.

It really is such a wounderful feeling of freedom to let God in and let go of all the heavy burdens that society places on us.

I am so very uplifted by the discussion that is occurring here.  I am a happy Christian and lifestyler (although admittedly new) and love seeing both living side by side in peaceful existence.  Thank you all for making it comfortable to be exactly who I am, and not having to leave the clues scattered to the winds.

Christian love,
lovingpet

Adding to the list of cheesy church billboards:

"Our Sundays are better than Dairy Queen"

And one I actually saw on a church sign driving through Atlanta...
"Stop by my house before the big game." ~God

If you want some other ones, go to www.godspeaks.com. I have one of their t-shirts that reads "What part of 'Thou Shalt Not' didn't you understand?"

Oh, and back to the original topic of Christianity kink, I was in my undergraduate pre-seminary program, and in my Intro to the Old Testament class, we did a group reading of the Song of Solomon. I volunteered to read the female voice, and a friend of mine read the male voice...and after the third time he complimented my "twin gazelles" and a valley or two, he was totally scarlet. I really felt bad for the guy. To think the bible has it's own erotica chapter [;)]
