Status: offline 		For Me personally, I prefer slaves that are VERY submissive, I don’t like a brat or any sign of aggression at all.  I also enjoy a lot of heavy edge play, or sadistic play.  I am wondering if its been anyone elses experience that these two things don’t go hand in hand very much.  I find that most slaves that are truly submissive from their core, are not heavy masochists and those that are, tend to be just that, masochistic bottoms, but not really slaves.  I have found this nice combo a few times, over the years, and those are the slaves that have had a good long run with Me.
 
So, I am wondering, do the other Dom/mes here find that also?  I know that My tastes are not for everyone, but there has to be others like Me, lol.

Just to clarify, I am NOT saying that is always the case, just that it seems more common than not.

Status: offline 		Well, I tend to like more spirit in my subs and slaves so I haven't noticed what you have.

I did train and then own a wonderfully serviced focused slave for about 18 months who was also an incredibly heavy bottom; when he moved to Austin he acquired a nickname from the community to point out his heavy enjoyment of pain.

He was certainly submissive to me but during our relationship I like to think I helped him learn to be more assertive in all aspects of his life.

I think the combination of the two qualities might be rarer than someone who is more a masochist or more submissive but that could be merely a result of the more traits or qualities you look for the more rare it will be.

For example we hear on the boards here that some folks have difficulty finding a heavy top who is also dominant or a dominant who is also caring/loving.

If I could explain mathematics better I might be able to lay out what I'm thinking of.

I associate most "subs" heavy into a particular fetish (crossdressers, masochists, etc) as "bottoms" rather than subs/slaves.

And I agree with you that most men who enjoy submitting from their core, are not fetishists.

Bottoms, particuarly masochists, etc are still fun, nonetheless. :)

I echo your preferences.  I am so happy beyond words and soul in utter peace around gentlemen slaves.  The 'intent' is to serve and so many do their best to please, even if its doing something they hate.  I personally do not push such sweet servants into pain beyond discomfort.  I have plenty of masochists who volunteer for my Sadist side--but, what I do find--is seasoned masochists to whom have peaked and know who are well experienced Sadists, the masochists that I TOP will go into submission, protocol and the like to feed me back some.  There is one well known TOP that is now SWITCH since I have TOPPED him several times who is as Sadistic as well as masochists.  I think he felt the need to re-label himself was after I did a super ripper zipper (which is a fruit plastic diamond net/cargo net from nips to genitals, with itty bitty clothespens and let them work a bit and then rip the fruit net/cargo net off--which he goes into a ball howling--the sensation is like peeling the skin off in a complete layer and can't be done in standing or in bondage on furniture due to the violent throws--can separate and or dislocate limbs).
 
I do find some who need to take a break from masochism as to allow their body to heal.  However, with these folks--I don't do any BDSM--it is strictly Dominant-servant/submissive. 
 
Again--there is absolutely no chance I would ever give up a gentleman slave/servant/butler type.  My last perished many years ago and even compromising --nobody has come close with the exception of a few Gay slaves I know --who are owned also. [Smiles, snaps fingers -darn]
 
Just some thoughts.

Status: offline 		Greetings LadyHugs. i am very pleased to read Your posting on the subject of masochist and slave and am very relieved to find out that even though You have such a strong urge to exercises Your sadistic pleasures, and You honestly could not make it any more graphic then that. You still can show some heart to us subs/slaves who are service orientated more then being exposed to sadistic pleasures. It gives me courage and some hope as a newbie in real life service to continue my training with a sadistic Mistress that has decided to give me a chance to prove myself worthy yet of a collar. i was always under the idea that a Sadist would only look for masochist slaves only. i did pose the question to the current Mistress i am under consideration and in training. She did reassure me that that is not the case but i was still skeptic about the matter, as to how may a non masochist serve a sadistic Mistress. i appreciate Your comments and Your praise for Your past butler and i sympathize with You for his loss. i hope You find his replacement soon.

I have been lacking my servant/butler/slave out there for me for way too long.  I am patient.  Right now daughterly duties  have me in service as care giver.

Status: offline 		Oddly I've had quite a few male subs tell me many Dommes they talk to are only interested in service submission and not at all sadists or into any intense play and they desire more.  I guess it all depends on where you are and who you are talking to.
