is it better to have more skin showing (ie no shirt) or just dressed?   I would never introduce myself without a shirt on so I went with one with a t-shirt.

I think you want to look your best and should wear at least a shirt (suit & tie if that's the way you normally dress) in your primary photo.  I also suggest you post what you would primarily call a "face shot" unless it's heavily blurred.  A 3/4 shot is also good so people can see what kind of shape you're in if that's important to them.  You can also crop a photo to just show your eyes or smile to use as 2nd and 3rd shots to add to your profile.  Even include a photo without a shirt if you like, but I wouldn't put it up as your primary photo.  In my opinion, it's a case of "trust your instincts" and wait until you get to know someone better before you share more skin. Greetings cala... Hey You know thats how my surname starts?? Cause i have a long surname the ones that know me have halved. Anyway i share your concern but frankly i'm starting to feel that i have no need for anyones criticism when it comes to my sexuality.. my mum never asked me what i am so why would some third party bother?? And frankly the ones that concentrate on others often neglect there own...

I would advise you to post a pic that blurs your face, or crop it.  That's what I do.

A kind person from this website helped me with an image and it should be up today or tomorrow.  I feel better posting a picture, at least it shows an effort.

well my first pic that someone helped me with pixiling my face was rejected for not being clear.  I don't understand when there are so many unclear photos or headless ones.  whats the difference?

Photographs are a real dilema for me.
There is a photographer in Manchester England who downloaded my pic made it look much better and then sent it back to me. It scared me.
My managers at work downloaded my profiles to use to sack me. They also downloaded three pornagraphic pictures of different women at the same time because they happened to be on the same page as mine. That scared me.
No one is held accountable for their actions.
There is no law to protect us.
How can there be?
You can't legislate against discrimination. We can try but it will never really work.
If someone wanted to get rid of you at work badly enough they could find a reason.
Or make your life such hell that you left.
Are the risks worth it?
Do you want to be part of the generation that makes BDSM acceptable or not?
Everytime I use physical means with a sub/slave I break the law.
I could be held accountable.
But how could we as a group of people actually want the law changed?
So you see I don't have an answer for you.
You will do what you need to do to be happy or not as the case maybe.
I wouldn't need a pic to talk to you.
I contact those I want to from what they write on the message boards.
Subs do contact me as well. Usually in the wrong way because they can't be bothered to take advice. Unfortunately some men think they know it all lol.

Ma`am there is already a law protecting from mangers who bully. You can claim "Constructive dismissal" Any UK firm who sacks someone needs to have a good reason. If they bring your private life into it, then they have to prove it affects your work. I suspect the reason many people dont fight back through the courts, is a fear of publicity.

I thought for ages about posting my photo, then decided anyone who saw it was most likely to have an interest in the lifestyle anyway.

When I want to take good clear photos I get junk,  now that I wanted a unrecognizeable pic, I got clear ones.  Guess I'll never be a photographer.

Here is how to take blurry photos:

1. Borrow a Hitachi.
2. Fasten Hitachi to forearm of non-dominant hand.
3. Turn on Hitachi.
4. Take photo of self while holding camera with non-dominant hand.

;-)

Most photo editing tools allow an option to blur or put other effects on photos.

Cheers,

Sea

more then 50% of the photos I've taken are blurry but I deleted them all, I tried the other day and they either were way of centered or clear as could be.

When you wish to avoid the blur, increasing the amount of light might lead to a faster shutter speed, which would help lessen blur as well as with being off center.
