I've thought that, as submission and gender goes, it is humiliating for a man to stand naked before a clothed woman.
For women, I think they might find themselves more uncomfortable in lingerie than being outright naked.

If I'm told to strip or stripped, then he wants to see me naked. That makes me feel sexy, even if it's a bit embarrassing. I feel sexy in lingerie too. Maybe it's a matter of defintion, but in my mind "humiliation" equates to being shamed. The only things I can think of that might provoke that feeling would involve having actually done something wrong myself or would involve being exposed (physically or emotionally) to people outside the relationship. Maybe I have a heavier take on "humiliation" than other people.
