I am more than willing to learn from whomever wishes to speak with me and assist me. I seek to become a more experienced Dom. In the least in conversation and perhaps more experiences than I have had to this point. I am a relatively young dom at 23 years old. I've been interested in the lifestyle for about 7 years though obviously the first two years were high school and I spoke to nobody and only read on it. I have spoken with different people and read about it and had samplings with different people regarding the lifestyle but often enough they were Vanilla women and just trying something new. They were not true submissives/slaves. I am seeking guidance I suppose you could say. I have a good idea about plenty of the premises and ideas involving BDSM and D/s Lifestyle but I could use some assistance and conversation still. Anyone's help is welcome. Daniel

Your profile states that you are curious about your local BDSM community... Are there munches, parties, etc in you community? That's always a great avenue for people just starting out. Find a friend to accompany you or go it alone.... most groups are very welcoming to new people who are sincere in their search for more knowledge. Good luck to you!

Some basic tips: 1. Try to get involved in the local community. 2. Remember that there are very few, if any, one correct ways of doing anything that applies to everyone. 3. Your true sub/slave is another's fake and your fake is another's true sub/slave 4. Be willing to learn from submissive/slaves I hope this is helpful to you.

To locate local munches and organizations near you.... Go to www.drkdesyre.com/ Click on HERE Click on Meeting People Click on Organizations Then click on your state Most groups offer lectures and training in various aspects. Learning from someone in person is much better than learning from online or reading a book.

To the above advice I'd suggest watching and listening to those who have gone on before you. They have much to teach you. Of course, you have to be selective. That's where the munches and local groups and local play parties come in. Remember to have safety in mind for those you play with, and yourself.

If you don't know what the fuck you are doing, for fucks sake go slow, and do a whole lot less at one sitting than is in your imagination. Best advice is probably already written here but... 1. Go to your local munch/group, make sure you read the rules first/get invited to some demos and watch closely 2. Take some classes/do some research on the human psyche 3. Do some research/take some classes on anatomy 4. Have fun and always play safe/sane/consentual 5. Stay the fuck away from the Vault in NYC...no really

The only other advice I can give is to be more specific as to what kind of assistance you need and find as many teachers as possible. Some people are good at bondage, others at bullwhips, some at the practice of incorporating switching into your relationship, others at TPE D/s dynamics. In my opinion, it's often best to learn from people who specialise at that what you want to learn the basics from. They tend to know the basics really by heart and to have given things a little mor thought.
