Termyn8or -> Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 1:02:07 AM)

Just went to who is viewing me. I just noticed, because of course I viewed their profiles, two hard limits. One was karaoke and the other was country music.

Now we all know how dangerous karaoke and country music can be expecially when combined. I mean I have seen guns drawn when such things are going on. But I see no reason to make it a hard limit. A gun can be fun, just don't let it get away from you :-)

I mean, I mean (sounding a bit like Arlo Guthrie here) we got people with blow torches and chain, who like to give pain, candles, electrical zappers and tawses and crops. We got people who want to do water torture, and lock up your cock. Some want breath play, you can't even breathe ! Have you seen the rigidcuffs and what whatchamacallit is building ?

We got Dommes who would put you in a plastic bag, and subs who would willingly turn blue, burning and whipping our way into bliss.

But we need to watch out for that karaoke and country music. We need to set HARD LIMITS, you know how dangerous these things can be. Even if your zapper toys run on 240 and require a dedicated 40 amp circuit, just don't hook up that stereo and play hillbilly records, it might even be against state law. And if you hook up a karake machine you are subject to arrest I am sure in at least a few states. After all it is 2007.

We have to prioritize, we have to make sure we aint hearin no screamin hillbilly hos. We need to keep the world safe from that shit.

If people only knew.................

I get that hard limit.  Imagine being tied up and forced to listen to that crap.  Or to have to watch someone you submit to karaoke to country.  That would be bad.  Talk about emotional pain and suffering.    [8D]

KnOcala -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 4:40:07 AM)

i agree with the karaoke.  Its just something I could never do.  After being advised that it was okay to lip synch in church, I have taken a hard stance against karaoke.
someone to force me to sing karaoke would be a fool I could never respect and to force someone to listen to karaoke, I just don't have the ability to cause that much pain and suffering.

Good one Termy8or.

Reminds me of a friend of mine who had a profile on here. She had a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Her profile said Diapers-Expert-Hates it.

Although I do think cross-stitch and knitting can have ominous undertones.

juliaoceania -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 8:55:32 AM)

Last summer when I was looking on myspace for local vanilla dates I got hate mail because I stated this on my profile:

1) No George Bush lovers
2) No conservatives
3)No military men regardless of political affiliation
4)No country western lovers
5)No bikers

I was getting a lot of emails from these sorts, so I thought I would let them know before they emailed me that I wasn't into them. I did not say I hated them, I did not say that I wished ill on them, I did not even say why I wasn't interested in them.. but I received hate mail about my personal preferences anyways.

Basically I think that if someone knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that any activity is something that they have no desire for in their life, they should list it in their hard limits... I dislike country western music so much it makes me wince and gives me a head ache...

subfever -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 9:28:06 AM)

While your post is amusing, I agree with Julia. If there are any activities or beliefs that one considers a deal-breaker in terms of a relationship match, what's the downside of listing these dealbreakers up-front and saving everyone from wasted time and effort?

CalifChick -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 10:07:18 AM)

Unfortunately, there is no designation for "just can't freaking stand it", so "hard limit" is as close as it gets.

They don’t have other important things such as smoking no smoking either or maybe I didn’t look properly.

DesFIP -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 11:12:24 AM)

I have a professional singer for a relative. He will not let the kids get a karaoke machine, they don't go to karaoke bars. He has perfect pitch and listening to out of tune people hurts him. He can barely tolerate the singing of the national anthem at ball games and tends to arrive after the first pitch has been tossed just for that reason.

If your ex was abusive as hell, and you wound up in the hospital after getting badly beaten with country music in the background, then it makes sense that listening to that could set off flashbacks of PTSD, thus requiring you to hard limit country music.

Just because you can't imagine hard limiting this doesn't mean they are wrong to do so, it just means you need to widen your imagination.

Oh, what a wonderful idea.  The grin on my face is slightly evil.

Termyn8or -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 2:49:18 PM)

So wait now, originally I made light of the subject, but now I must reconsider it.

For reasons of my own, I will not listen to Bruce Springsteen, Lenerd Skinerd or Billy Joel, except for one song, Stiletto. The reasons for this are available on request.

But that is an interesting point. With the above exceptions, and that I am not fond of most rap, I could imagine being chained up and subjected to certain music. What would you do ?

Now don't get me wrong, I can handle some rap, in fact I am fond of Snoop DD's Gin and Juice. I also like 2 Live Crew Banned In The USA. There are a few others, but I hear cars driving around blasting "mothafuker muthafuker this, muthafuker muthafuker that". Unless you live out in the stix, or on the moon you probably have heard it.

My rig can be adjusted so that the bottom cannot touch their face or head in any way. Well if I put a couple of speakers in there and played a few tunes, oh boy. And the karaoke thing. You know how some people sound. Yikes !

I don't mean to again blow my own horn, but I am not bad, they practically twisted my arm to do "What a Wondeful World" Louie Armstrong I think. Well I have a deep voice and the third take was really good and they actually play it. I may have brough it on themselves though. We are all avid AFP readers and when you see the state of the world, well sometimes I would get sarcastic and sing "Ans I think to myself, what a wonderful world". It might be all my fault. But as a result, I can do that song quite competently.

Karaoke is a funny thing. First of all you must drink, of that there is no doubt. But now, all three of us who are permanent in the band (we are looking for a bass player) each have solo artist songs, sung and played by only one. We are in the process now of learning to accompany one another. We are making progress, but............

I have heard some people on karaoke that, well, gimme a minute to think of the words. Ah, I have it, I would rather be eaten alive by a shark.

My buddies with the karaoke machine have this habit, that is to burn you a disk of yourself. If you suck you will know it. Interesting technique wouldn't ya say ?

OMG, there's an idea, restrain someone and make them listen to themself !

When we do the karaoke, it is in a private home and we are all friends. They got the one guy, looks pretty much like a moose, to do a mellow Christmas song. As we gave him a standing ovation we yelled "You Suck !". Everybody cracked up.

What was alot better, oh wait, what was not among the category of "that which does not kill us" was the other guy. The hosts have just about the last DK set of karaoke disks. We are actually looking for a way to copy them for backup, and honestly to make some money. They are not easy to copy. But they got "Devil Went Down To Georgia" and as some of you know David Allen Coe made a parody of that, known as "Devil Went To Jamaica". Looking to sell some weed, later it was "Bet a milliion in cash against your stash" and so forth. My one buddy does that one pretty good.

But his olady ? arrrrrgh. That would be torture.

This is all trippped out. Now I have to find a way to put Springsteen, Skynard and Billy Joel in my hard limits, except for "Stiletto".

I wonder if it will all fit now. Death, (more) bulletholes, blood (mine), anal anything including fisting, amputation and death. I mean ya gotta tell some people everything, or they'll screw it up.

To be able to do that we might have to wait for a software upgrade. I think this site runs ASPPlayground, but I have no idea what version it is in. We should have write in capability. But if the admin of this site seeks such updates, I implore you to not hire any of the people who are running the voting machines. It would wreck the place for sure.

I have other hard limits. Jerry Springer comes to mind. Chain me up and bring in a TV set, I might break the rig. And it is unbreakable.

My former dom told me that he had recorded every State of the Union speech ever made my GW so that if I ever pissed him off he would tie me to  a chair and make me listen to GW until I cried and begged for mercy... I was so afraid he might actually do it.

Maya2001 -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 3:08:56 PM)

[:D] If your heard my singing you would want it as a hard limit as well LOL

chellekitty -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 4:21:41 PM)

emo music is listed as a hard limit in my profile...how many other styles of music can tout so many suicides per year of existance? i will not allow myself to be forced to listen to something that makes me want to kill myself just to not have to listen to it anymore....

Coerced2Please -> RE: Another thread about profiles (12/26/2007 4:25:57 PM)

phillip glass, endlessly entertaining. but hooded and forced listening to phillip glass's entire album 'einstein on the beach'  whilst being punished, wickedly endlessly entertaining (on the watching end, not the experiencing)

geez, I didn't see those choices or I would have chosen them too!

heh . . . I've done karaoke once, and I picked a Hank Williams tune. I was damned good too -- if your stalker had heard me, country karaoke would be moved up to "lives for it!"
