Hi all,
I'm here to learn more about a lifestyle that I've always held an interest in and because a sub friend recommended this site as opposed to some others (I used to have a profile on alt). Sure, it would be great to find a dom here but I'm not holding my breath. [&:]

I joined Collarme to find like minded individuals who are able to share their experiences and knowledge with me. Often we feel a little "alone" in the everday things and its lovely to find likeminded people. I am not looking for a new dom however if one was would certainly suggest to start here. There is a variety of personalities which would cater for anyones needs and wants.

I came onto collarme because I was curious about the people that post.

I have met one particular woman whom I have been emailing back and forth for a few weeks now. Very nice and completely down to earth. Most of our conversations are just about life, vanilla life, with some BDSM mixed in.

Meeting anyone who is genuine and honest in personals ads is 1 in a million.

And eventually in every adult relationship where 2 people click, sex will most likely happen.

I don't know if I come here seeking anything other than getting to know people. On a whole I have found some very nice people, some very ignorant males, who in no way shape or form should be considered Dominant Master or even top.

I enjoy inteligent chat, which is hard to find even in the vanilla world

And if I am lucky I will make a few good friends and impart some wisdom in my journey through

what makes you seek someone here? - I didn't come here to find anyone. I came here originally to read the message boards and found myself wanting to reply often enough that I finally decided to register.

Do you see a personality you like? - I've seen many, yes.

Do you see a place you'd rather be? - Sometimes.

Do you see escape from reality? - No.

Do you see sex as the motive? - No. I came here to educate myself, and see the lifestyle through as many sets of eyes as I could.

Do you see, what you seek in a potential Dom on C.M.? - Here and there.

Do you see education in the lifestyle through someone here? - There've been a number of people here who've helped educate me, yes. Indirectly, without realizing it in some cases, but they've still been a huge help.

Do you seek cybersex through someone here? - No.

Do you seek love through someone here? - Romantic love, no.

Do you seek lust through someones here? - No, my lust is reserved.

I joined CM becasue I felt it was time to get back into the scene after a break (long story for another day). I figured I could maybe browse for local contacts, talk to a few, and maybe even meey one. It was a comfort thing before I go to a local event.

But I hit the forum, and that's where I spend most of my time. Some things here are educational, some entertaining, and some thought provoking. After a couple days lurking I even joined in.

As for my original intent, I talked to two women relatively local to me. One has been enjoyable, the other not so much. The enjoyable one attends the local group I was planning on visiting anyway and I hope to talk to her there. I doubt I'll stop hittin the boards tho LoL.

For Me its simply a matter of being practical-I have trouble getting to places where others in the lifestyle go in the real world so I spend time on here,making noise on the different forums,try to write something...-anything- on My journal in an attempt to get noticed,known and become friends with people and see what happens after that.

Also,Im interested in other people's opinions and experience in the lifestyle cos I want to learn cos I want to be as good as I can be. Otherwise why would anyone one bother with Me?.

Interesting questions. And to answer them in order:

I have a profile but it was put up more to let people know who I am than with any hope of successful fishing. I've had more success with meeting people with like interests thru it however, than I ever imagined I would.

I see several personalities I like. I like those who are real people, who have personalities and experiences that stretch past the realm of BDSM and who like to talk like two regular people, not just swap fantasy stories.

Nope, not sure what place that'd be.

Heck no, I love reality.

Nope, sex is more of an anti-motive. If I want sex I can find that with just about anyone I meet (not that I do). I don't need to find someone online for that. I look online mostly for friends and people with like interests, if it develops into something more, that's great, but my goal has never been that. I think it takes away from the richness of the other person to meet and immediately be feeling like you're interviewing them for a future sex partner.

Not looking for a Dom, got one already.

Education: Ah there you go! Yup. I'm a switch and new to being a Domme, so I do ask things of and wish to learn from other Dommes and subs.

Cybersex: Blech.

Love: Not seeking it thru this medium, no. But not saying it couldn't develop once I meet someone in person.

Lust: Nope. To me to get online to fulfill a sexual fantasy only is just too high risk for me. I'd have to know someone for a good long time before playing with them, so that would take it out of the CM online world and into R/L.

Good questions, it was fun answering them and seeing what other people had to say as well.
