I just want to say i really enjoy MistressDread's posts, even when i don't agree or have trouble reading them, and i would hate to see her posts pulled or banned. JMHO.

I just saw proudsub's post, and while I wasn't aware of a problem regarding Dread's posts, I want to say that it would distress me to even imagin that her posts would be pulled or banned entirely. I understand that we all do, or say things from time to time that may require the intervention, or action of the Moderators, however to pull one's posts or ban them would be very serious. I hope this is just a misunderstanding.

It appears there is some disagreement between the moderators and MistressDread. MistressDread mentioned it in a post here earlier today but i can't find it so i assume it was pulled. Then i saw a post by MistressDread that was "under review".

Hello,

I am not a big fan of any form of censorship, so I would prefer that nobodies posts
be pulled; we all have valuable things to say, whether or not I agree with them.

However, I did post on another board that getting into arguments with the moderators is similar to arguing with the referee at a kid's soccer game. The moderators are here to maintain a public forum within the rules of the public forum. When I have been a moderator, or seen problems between moderators and the public, what I have generally seen is a person forcing the issue, attempting to publicly ridicule the Moderators, and unwilling to put their ego aside and play nice in the sandbox.

If there is an issue between Somebody and the moderators, I would hope that Somebody would have the emotional maturity to be the first to back down and not make a big issue out of it. The only outcome I would expect for not doing so is for Somebody to be "red carded" and kicked off the site.

There was some confusion about bumping threads and rules. The official rules are now posted in the general BDSM area on bumping threads and the polls that were locked were now unlocked.

Unfortunately instead of coming to mod 3 or myself with this issue MistressDread posted private conversations between herself and Mod 4. She was asked not to do that several times and the rules on that have been made clear. She did it twice more as well as posted the conversation in her journal on her collarme profile, which is a TOS violation.

Because of these actions her posting privileges have been suspended for 7 days. She is not banned and she will be able to come and read the forums, but not participate in any discussions until her suspension period is up, and she removes the inappropriate material from her profile.


Nobody here is a fan of censorship and nobody has been red carded, but there are certain rules that need to be followed and certain consequences that come with breaking the rules. We have moderators here to help keep the forum organized and hopefully free of flames and personal attacks while helping to foster an environment where people can feel free to discuss almost any topic without fear of embarrassment with mature adults who can offer supportive and/or corrective advice.

Apparently you may be reading this. From what I've read this suspension will only build your "outsider" stature.

When a student of mine lost a chess game (best analolgy I've got) I would remind them that this was a learning opportunity. The opponent "took you to school" learn. (I guess to you I should say "Learn, please" but I don't work that way.)

At least read Sinergy's soccer analogy and learn to not piss off moderators.[:D]

I think after care might be needed. You're still good people except for that kinky thing.[:)]

OK, seriously, Sinergy's example is right on the money. The ref had no choice and neither did you. You are not a bad person. Whatever happened, it does not reflect on your worth as a person.
