well i am snowed in  Chicagoland.   Family was nice.i  took a wrong turn went to Cleveland. my  nephew has a band. ty 2 the nice  family who doesnt  lock wifi

Well I knew I was getting these, (or had a feeling anyways.) but they definately put a smile on my face:

A Tom-tom GPS navigator,(I get lost going to places on a regular basis. *snickers*)
A Toaster Oven (won't be used for cooking, will be used for baking my clay projects.) Yay!!!
A necklace with the Unitarian Universalist chalice and a ring around it. it's bootifuul. (silly moment.)
lots and lots of clay
2 gift card to Michaels (yes got more clay, can never have enough.)
1 gift to Barnes and Nobles, (wanted one to Borders as they have a better selection.) but it worked out because I got some books I had been meaning to buy in classical Literature, like Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, Dante's Purgatorio,Ovid's Metamorphoses,a telling of Gilgemesh, and a anthropoligic study of a tribe in Siberia.  A few magazines too Polymer Cafe, Realms of Fantasy, and 101 ways to make simple earrings.

So this was a great Christmas for me.

There were a few gifts that wowed me this year

1.  A beautiful Jewelry statue that one of my friends gave me, it so suited my taste, I will treasure it.

2.  The story told to me by two of my friends about their search for a gift that was not to be.  At a gift shop they spotted a t-shirt that they thought would be so perfect for me, it had some saying to the affect of "I like my men duct taped"  So they tore through the racks and when not able to find one in my size begged the store owner to search in the back for one.  Unfortunately there were none to be found.  Still, it was the thought that count as far as I'm concerned.  My girls know me so well at times.

3.  My favorite gift was a gift of appreciation from one of the above mentioned friends.  One of my friends shed tears over one of the little gifts I gave her.  That to me was the most special of gifts I happily recieved.  To know I was able to touch her heart was my favorite gift this year.  If I were able to do that with my gifts each year, than the time and frustration of the season would be well worth having to deal with anticipating another Christmas each year. 

3.  Also great was the fact that all the friends got along great this year, no, drama, no spats, I'm not going to count the banging on my door because I was the last to make it to the gathering, with the one friend screaming out my name like from the movie "A Street Car Named Desire" Stella, hey Stella, In my case, Rosa, hey Rosa.  [:(]  Bamb, bamb answer the freakin door.    Good way to get ya to stay on the other side of the door.  [>:]

Ahhhhhhhh, it was a great time had by all.  Next year Christmas at my place.

I bought it myself, was supposed to be for the UM's but they are more impressed with their 360 and Nintendo DS's: an 8-week old piebald dappled dachshund with sky blue eyes and the best puppy breath ever.

I got new slippers that are really thick and cushiony. My old ones were worn down and the insoles were torn. These are very warm.

I got stood up for Christmas.

I was invited by a certain "sub" here from Collarme,
and I took the train to Darlington United Kingdom,
waited for four fucking hours,
and then I knew I was screwed good.
 I flew home the next day, and the best thing
I got for Christmas
was a hug from My loving son.

I managed to snap a top front tooth at the root on the Friday before Christmas and got a mega infection in the root..... penicillin and a temporary crown were the best things I got - relief!

I got Super Mario Galaxy from my slave, and have already played over 10 hours so far. [sm=banana.gif]

On Boxing Day I gave myself a Blackberry Pearl, and frankly I'm not sure which was a better gift. [:D]

I am a big fan of sci-fi/fantasy.  This year I received a terribly cute baby Godzilla
that is now perched on top of my computer monitor.
