Hello All. I've been using the site for bit of while now, and I would guess I've had more success than most young guy doms. But alas, not enough. So I've realized I should probably update my picture, and not just use whatever happens to be on my computer at the time. So here is a request for advice from any female submissive would like to answer. What kind of photo makes you think: "Yes, thats the kind of guy I would like to get to know, take me out to dinner, and eventaully tie me to the bed"

Hi, honestly? It is not only about the photo, that is what might initially attract someone. It is more about the words. And you might think about adding more about yourself to your profile. What you have written now is somewhat interesting, but I do not think it would work for all subs. Not every submissive is into being objectified, as you have written.

Your photos are fine, I like the second one best.

I dont know about the subbie ladies on here, I know personally I respond better to realistic shots rather than the ones going out of their way to look a "part"
I like posed but vanilla pictures ones that make you look like a real person and not a play actor. My own pictures run the gambit becasue I am a photographer and can take new ones of myself whenever it suits me. If you dont have tat sort of flexibility, Id suggest a few that are you at your Domly best, and some that are more real life vanilla to show a nice mix. After all, ther ehas to be a nce medum between tha going out for dinner and that tying one to the bed...

Not looking, but "IF" I were looking, a variety of shots would be nice.... ummmmm do they allow "tool" shots? hee hee just kidding.

A picture showing Your true personality is best. Not one that looks like You are trying to be UberDom. The pictures i remember best of the Doms onsite are varied.... Stephan sitting a bar with a pint of something, xxBullxx looking damed scary with those big muscles, TotalMaster4u feeding a parrot. All reflect something of the personality of the Doms involved with nary a whip in sight.

Turn offs in pics include "These are my toys! Look how Dom I am!" shots, and those where the guy is obviously trying to be someone He isn't.

My advice boils down to taking the pic in a setting that makes You comfortable, doing something You enjoy doing. Take several different ones, including candid shots, and ask a couple friends to help You pick the one that suits You best.

Daddy and SO had natural indoor/outdoor pics which attracted me to them

those who had "look at me with all my toys in the world" were a major turn off

as others have mentioned, i respond better to pictures that actually show who you are...not you attempting to look a part.

i also respond better to profiles who show who you are. the fact that yours seems to treat that as an unmentionable afterthought would make me move along in and of itself.

Like annabelle, I find your profile a major turn off. You make it clear that you are just interested in sex and play, not in ever being a friend. Even people who are into friends with benefits enjoy the friend part, calling for a ride when their car breaks down, a shoulder when trouble hits, someone to go to a horror movie marathon.

Anyone who wanted more than a one night stand would pass you by simply because you aren't available for any kind of relationship, no matter how limited.

Your pics are nice, but your profile...........when a profile talks about "pussy" no matter the context, that's a turn off for me. "All about sex" is what it cries out to me.

none.
it took more than a photo image to start that sort of thinking in this slave~it took communication, written/verbal, then face to face before this slave got to thinking that about someone.

Personally, i like NONblurry face/torso shots, natural ones, not uberposed... but actually for you i'd work more on your profile.... it makes you sound like a nasty little wanker who lives in Mummys basement, and has read far too many porn stories online.

I gotta agree with red here on every count. Second pic is best because we can see your face. But the profile doesn't exude a bit of warmth. And even for slaves who are into objectification on that level want to be assured that they are handing their lives over to a Master who will care for them, not just use them. There has to be something on which to build a trust. Without that, it feel very much like being in the middle of a shark-infested ocean with no rescue in sight. Sorry to use such strong imagery, but the point is, it really is not the picture that causes a female sub to want to submit. It's the person.

i think your photos are great, i would want to read your profile. But for me, even if a profile has a really bad pic on it, i would read their profile anyways. Since what you see in a pic may not always reflect on who the person is, because there have been some fake pics on here. But yours i did like and can see that you look genuine and a nice guy. i would say keep those pics up.

you should be more concerned about your profile than your pictures, its what really needs work

i dont even see your profile as a sex only profile

Like DiurnalVampire, I take My own photos. My photographic 'style' is that I want to show the viewer what he would have seen had he been where/when I took the photograph. This style is called "documentarian".

Being a documentarian, I have no clue how to pose subjects, and will never learn. My photos of Myself show Me as I looked at the time. So, what you see is what you get.

Generally speaking, the people interested in My photos were not interested in Me, and those interested in Me rarely mentioned My photos.

Comments I have received: "...seeing you holding his leash so confidently and easily.", Me and a slave; "Can get lost in those eyes!", My black-shirt photo (on a hypnosis site); "You look menacing.", My brown-shirt photo; and "Masterful!", My blue-shirt photo. Same Man, same camera...

My therapist tells Me I am more complex than normal people--and they are complex indeed. I have written four profiles, and I dislike all of them.

I suggest that you write down what you think is important about yourself. Meet with a good friend--preferably many--ask him/them about yourself. Record the conversation (Do not miss something important.) and write down what they say. Then ask them about the items you wrote down earlier. Think about all the comments--Yours and theirs--to come up with your desired profile.

BE HONEST! My interest is Mastery, not sex. I am upfront about this.

Checking out Your profile: The text should talk about you. What do you actually want. Why would she want You?

The photo is too wide. That is, the BG detracts from the subject. Crop the side.

You say "I would guess I've had more success...". Success in what?

Is Your desire for ONS, or is it LTR? Just a play partner, or a slave? Be clear, and they will select or de-select You for Your reasons rather than for what they have to guess are Your reasons.

For starters, you could folow the suggestions of the other posters here as they gave sound opinions. The point of the matter is, this is where you have to present yourself in a much better way then what you have done. Use pictures that reflect you the person, not you the dom trying to impress every single submissive female here. Couple that with a well worded profile stating who you are as a PERSON. What your wants/needs are, your interests inside and outside of the BDSM world.
Realize you have to sell yourself, be honest about what type of person you actually are, not what you believe you are...a big difference here. Understand that it is a relationship which is trying to be created here, the D/s is not the be all end all, it is the icing on the cake so to speak.

Thank you everyone for the replies, including the criticism. For a new pic, the consensus I'm getting is for being natural with a clear shot of the face. Sounds easy enough. Now as for my profile, everyone seems to agree its crap, and that includes me. It doesn't say anything about me, except that I might know how to write porn. Previously, I had written about me and about what I'm looking for, much like was reccomended. But, as it is now, I've recieved more views and responses, and have recieved compliments on it. My friend told me its not going to attract the kind of person I'm looking for, and I think she's probably right, and eventually I'll change it back.
