What features would you look for in an ideal leather bondage cuff?

I like suspension cuffs. Make sure it is a good fit, both around the wrist and the reach factor with the hand hold. Ask the seller for sizing input.

It all depends on what you intend to use them for. Suspension? Restraining? Decoration?

In a good all purpose leather one I look for suppleness, sturdyness and at least one, well anchored, metal ring. (a second ring, 180 degress opposite would be even better) For the locking mechanism I prefer a metal clasp, again for durability. Rounded edges make for a nicer look.

Just my $0.02.

strength, especially if it's going to be used as suspension cuffs, durability, comfortable, etc

If the slave had a choice...it would be those 3 or 4 buckle suspension restraints by MR S. They're kind of universal even if not into suspension.  Talk about comfy!....and..they do look pretty hot too lol  [sm=hello.gif]

i think suspension cuffs are ideal for any type of restraint, not just suspension...the well designed ones allow the bottom to both comletely let go and fall into the cuffs without any imediate blood flow cut off and they allow the submissive to pull up on the bars that are in them...they can be made very prettily to...

Width, padding, and roller buckles.  The wider (within reason) the better.  Padding so that when the cuff is wrapped over on itself there isn't pinching of the skin.  Roller buckles so that it doesn't take a lot of cranking to get them snug and the roller keeps the strap from getting scraped up.

With wider cuffs look for more than a single strap, near the ends.  That will keep the cuff part from curling from use.

subshop.com has a good selection and reasonable prices.  (I'm not affliated apart from being a satisfied customer.)

(Corrected in original as well)

Well, I was going to correct it in the original but there's no editing allowed.  Ah well.

And yes, it has  to welded heavy d's locking roller buckle..etc......not sure about suspension styles yet. It's also stitched.
