My sub and I were chatting today and I related a story about making my (ex) Dom cry. (I switch)

I was wondering if any other subs here have ever made their Dom/mes cry?* What did you do? Did it change anything about the relationship? Were you punished? Was it D/s related or just normal relationship problems? What was the final outcome of the situation? How did you feel about what happened?

* Assume that the incident in question was NOT the termination of the relationship. That makes lots of people cry and is a rather obvious answer to this question.

greetings kindladygrey,

i've made my ex-dom cry. we are still best friends. we were very codependent and emotional and needy, though (both of us), and our beliefs about life were very different, and often a discussion could spark hurt feelings and strong emotions on either side. we are much better about that now, though :) i always felt and still feel terrible when i upset him or hurt his feelings, because i'm a total people pleaser. usually if we fight or cry, though, we get over it pretty quickly.

what's weird is that i never realized that i haven't seen my dominant (that i am with now) cry. ever. (at least not in the last two years, and the years i knew him in the "vanilla world" before that.) until i read your post, i hadn't even thought about it. it's hard to imagine him crying. (not that it would bother me or anything. it'd be kind of nice if he felt comfortable crying around me. but i just think he's not much of a crier.)

respectfully,
annabelle.

I do not know if I have ever made him cry, he hasn't said that I have. He is not afraid to cry, and we have cried together at sad movies... something that I have never had anyone I could do that with.  We have been known to take a box of kleenex with us when we sit and watch a tear jerker.

He is not afraid to cry though... and that to me is manly and domly.

when it came time to read out loud the words we had written as "vows" to each other during our wedding ceremony...we BOTH cried...and after we were done professing our love and undying devotion to one another, there wasn't a dry eye out there on the front lawn that beautiful evening.

sometimes, we cry to express joy, not just sadness, hurt, anger or despair.

I have seen Master cry. It was not caused by me; He was relating an incident in His life that He would not have me share here. Seeing this strong, strapping man be open to His emotions this way only furthered the trust and love between us. He is as honest emotionally as He is honorable in all things.

His being able to cry is a sign of balance and maturity, not weakness. And it could never diminish His ownership or "domliness" to be human. He can look at me lovingly, then put fear into my heart with just a change of expression. I literally place my life in His hands- quite often- and the fact that He is in touch with all aspects of Himself only adds to my trust, devotion and surety.

Lol Silly me for not reading all of the post...

The only happy thing that ever made him cry was when we first became friends, we were having a chat, and he finally poured his heart out over how he felt and all that stuff.  It was beautiful cuz he did cry, and it made me cry too...

I have been brought to tears several times by both boys. Some good tears, some bad.
Fox surprised me and found my favorite song on youtube and cued it up to have ready to play when I got home from work, and we danced in my kitchen. Good tears.
Angel and I had a fight in his car about how we had been relating was making him feel just like his real mother did and it was depressing him. Bad tears.
Angel remembered me on Mothers day, called me and had all his friends at school call as well, and I had 20 somthing messages in my voice mail wishing me a happy Mothers DAy (I am Mommy after all). Good tears.

Eh, I wish. I get really sick of being impassive and deadpan. It feels like an ill-fitting suit of armor sometimes.

I have never seen my Master cry.  I would also never do anything to make him cry.

Yes I have made Master cry. I told him he was my best friend, lover and confidant as well as my Master and the holder of my heart and that I would lay down my life for his in a New York minute and not bat an eye. I told him I appreciated him for all the lil things he does for me when my medical stuff stops me from doing it.. That although he is human first he is still the most important human in my world.

this girl's Master has always been very open with his emotions.  but the one that was the most sincere, the most heart wrenching was a few months ago during luna's 3d ultrasound when he saw the baby's face - he started to cry. just that, no words, just tears.  He actually reached out and touched the monitor.

the ultrasound tech had to stop and wipe her eyes.  luna bawled like a baby LOL

If I ever made Aerith cry I'd probably regret it a great deal, despite her being upset with me I'd beat myself up over it. As for her crying, crying is only human nature when you are sad you cry. I however would never try or do something that even attempted to make her cry.

I can think of at least two occasions where I made my ex-Owner cry, but I think there were more that I'm blocking.
The first time I saw him cry was when I made a big deal about his birthday, and gave him gifts. Those were happy tears.
The other time I remember, I took off the necklace/collar he had given me. I couldn't be the slave he wanted me to be, and I know I shouldn't have accepted it to begin with. It wasn't a termination of our relationship, though. It was just taking it back a step.
I think there was another occassion where that happened; where we both realized that I couldn't (or from his viewpoint, wouldn't) be what he wanted in a slave, and we weren't going to have the M/s relationship that he wanted. It still wasn't a termination though. We kept trying, and when we finally did split the sheets, it was amicably, without tears. We're still friends.

Yup I have. I made him think on accident I didn't love him and was leaving him. It didn't change anythin about the relationship.

In another instance it was very personal and it's made me maybe re think asking to play w/ith others cause I realize it's very painful

Daddy also cries when I do kind things for him, like buy him something he's been looking for for years and couldn't find or express how much I love him with the help of a sweet card. Or the time I made him a christmas ornament that said Daddy.

I made Master cry one time... many years ago. I was not punished by him, but I still beat myself up to this day. I have watched another make him cry and I want to hurt her to this day...I am a lucky girl with an amazing Master. I promised myself years ago that I would NEVER make him cry again no matter what. 7 years have passed and I vow to never bring tears of sadness to his eyes again.

As to happy tears... I have envoked them on more than one occassion and pretended not to notice.
