Hi there,

I'm new to the D/sBDSM community, but have been involved with various forms of kink for many years.  I've always had a tendency to gently guide my relationships, both long term and, ehem, less than long term, into D/s & BD kink and roles.  I must say that I'm proud of the fact that I have an organic sense of SSC, making sure that my partner is as comfortable and completely consensual with what is going on, even if we both never quite realized what label we'd put on it if we talked about it outside the bedroom.  Also, in retrospect I've noticed I've been quite a seductive Dom, putting it out there, "Would you like to try . . .", then making them work for it just a little, pushing the boundry just enough, then vocalizing I'd like to take it one step further, getting consent, repeating the cycle.  I must say it took me a while to realize who I am.  I think I always had a stereotype of Dom's as drooling, anti-social, psychotic sadists (not to judge all you D.A-S.P.Sad's out there) driving windowless vans around the high schools, or at best insecure little wankers who compensated for the fact they couldn't stand the word "No" by wearing leather pants and preying on women/girls with daddy issues.  Sadly, I think this is a common stereotype.  It wasn't until I did research on the community that I discovered this wasn't the case, that the long-term and old guard members of the community were actually alot like me.  It also took a partner that I trusted, who wanted to "pretend" I was a cuckoo, and made sure to explain that she wanted to do this with me because she knew and trusted who I was enough to feel secure in playing with me, that it finally clicked.  Having a sub pull as much out of me as I fed into her was new to me (see my post on Dom Drop), and it was glorious.  Anywhoo, I look forward to introducing myself to the community and seeing where this all goes.  I have a feeling I'm here to stay.
