greetings curiouslord, i'm guessing you've already thought of this, but do you have a fastweb profile? they mostly list scholarships but also internships and entry-level jobs. you've got it mostly covered with the googling, talking to professors, job sites, career center, advisor stuff. there are also sometimes really good, up-to-date resource books for careers and internships in some fields - when i was a crim double major, i saw some great career directories for that field, and i'm sure there's got to be something around for engineering. also, check the hospitals - they love engineers and employ loads of people (especially interns) so there's bound to be at least some sort of job or internship available related to what you're looking for there. depending on what university you're at and how comfortable you are with talking to grad students/profs in your field, i'd recommend emailing people at other universities around (i was specifically thinking of uva, but that's just because that's the only university i really know anything about in virginia, LOL) who might be able to help or give you advice. i've always found that people who work in my field are really willing to talk to someone who's passionate about what they want to do, even if they don't happen to be located at your university (it helps if they have similar research interests to what you want to do, though). anyway, hoping you don't know all this already and i could be of some help, hehehe. best of luck! annabelle.
