xxblushesxx -> Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 5:40:06 PM)

I don't know how many of you remember a couple of years back there was someone (I SO don't remember the name they used) but, their avatar was similar to Chia's (the pet-plant thingamajig) *please note that this post has absolutely NOTHING to do with Chia except for the avatar.*

Anyway, this person came on here making posts such as 'if a person is a submissive they should submit to everyone' and stuff like that. Whoever this was insulted almost every person they came in contact with on this site, probably intentionally.

At the end though, this person emailed many forum females telling us we were fat, ugly and stupid. Then he/she/it promptly blocked us so that we could not respond. And then, of course, this person disappeared and/or was kicked out of the fora.

Recently some 'dom' read my profile (while I was out of town) and proceded to tell me that Master should have not cooked for me, should have sent me to the gym, and that I was getting fat. When Master read this, he tried to respond, but...of course...the person had already blocked us.

I don't care. I find it funny. Master didn't want to tell me what he said, but I asked so much He finally did. I laughed very hard and kind of agreed with the guy.... But, has anyone else been dealing with this kind of **** lately? Is it really fun to insult people and then block them? If I insult someone, I at least like to wait around and see if they come up with an intelligent response....and if they do, I respect them much more.

It would be good to have a rule in place that once someone joins using an IP address, they can only join one or two more times with that same address. Wouldn't that stop the hit and runs, and yet leave an all clear for those who lose their profile for one reason or another?

Does anyone have any ideas about how to cut down on this bs?

Thanks!

~Christina

Develop a very thick skin.

Yes, B.O., that is very helpful, thank you!

MichealMayhem -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 6:07:25 PM)

actually I am experiencing exactly this thing.  My answer is to post the insult and my respnse in my journal.  That seems to work :)

Missokyst -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 6:44:24 PM)

I always assume someone who delivers an insult in email or online is just a coward.  Or someone with a really tiny dick that has to insult someone else because its the only way their dick gets hard.
I rarely choose to respond and couldn't tell you if I have been blocked.
Best thing is just ignore it.

junecleaver -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 6:50:38 PM)

I would think it is way too much extra trouble to put those measures in place just to protect 'feelings' on the internet.  Time has shown that trolls go away when they are ignored.  I only e-mail back insulters if it seems like I might get a laugh out of it.  Generally, there's just no point.  The majority of people who insult me are people who have wanted to bang me and found that they could not.

Anyway, I'm sure it probably happens to the majority of women here.

sammiebabygirl -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 6:58:22 PM)

By taking the time to respond to a person who gets off on this kind of childish behavior, gives this person power over you. It fuels them to keep it up.

So, since they block you, they really have no idea if you tried to respond, but if you find a way to respond, they will know and they have essentially won.

Laugh at it and let it go. You know what is real. You also know that this person is not real.

xxblushesxx -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 7:03:49 PM)

Well, if I had been here, I wouldn't have responded except to giggle.
Master felt that since I was out of town He had to spare me the humiliation of the other person's insults.
I really could not care less what they think.
It was more a question of if others had anything similar happen anytime recently.

GreedyTop -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 7:12:48 PM)

I get those types of emails fairly often.  I agree with junecleaver... poking at the trolls can be fun!  When they block me from responding, I just figure that they're intellectually disadvantaged and know that they'd be the loser in a battle of wits :)

EvilGenie -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 7:27:32 PM)

I rarely if ever respond and I am having a problem as well with a certain Dominant who has me pegged, among other things, as a racist, a bigot and a hate monger. I simply say track my posts and see. The ONLY times I have ever responded was to ask ''and your point is?''  I never heard back after that as they couldn't come up with a point most likely. They weren't likely to respond with ''no point really, I'm just an asshole.'' I'd love it if someone did though, but I have a warped sense of humor.

I just ignore it as anyone who would do that is truly and simply pixels on a screen to me.

LadyHugs -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 7:34:03 PM)

Dear xxblushesxx, Ladies and Gentlemen;

In regard to those mailings which are offensive, harassing and clearly beyond playfulness; I recommend using the 'report message' button and fill it out.

Moderators are very attentive as far as those who are using this service as a means to harass people.  Unfortunately, many create multiple screen-names and rotate around in them.

I find that some who like to be sarcastic, rude, nasty and or negative-- have multiple screen names and often have it so it bounces back and forth like a conversation; and or as to gang up on someone.  Unfortunately, as someone mentioned on posts on the various themes like this; anybody can use pictures that are altered, computer created and the like.

Yes, people have to get a thicker skin however, I feel that it still can hurt someone's feelings, self-esteem and or appearances on the forums and or whatever/wherever.

True, it is important to just know what the truth is within the relationship and what you know 'is' truth--however, truth can be buried by those slinging insults, mud, diversions and the like--for whatever intent they have.  It takes time to expose the truth.

Just some thoughts.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

TemptingNviceSub -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 7:47:58 PM)

I always chalk it up to someone is having a really bad day,month,year..are stressed out or insecure about themselves and can only feel better if they attack a total stranger......and then ....I laugh, because it could not happen to a more deserving individual...[:D]......Tempting

Maya2001 -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 7:56:21 PM)

I learned to ignore idiots and pranksters back in grade school the world is full of them, the internet is just and easier format for them to play their same stupid games as they do not have to show themselves,  you have choices..... you can let them bother and intimidate you, ignore them or run away and hide from them.

chiaThePet -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 8:08:32 PM)

I am a man, not an animal, er, pet-plant-thing-a-ma-jig, (Damn you Laurel)

Obviously he or she was another simpleton with nothing to do but attempt
to transfer their own pain, misery and short comings upon those whom
they found to be superior. I simply tell such fools to bring it on.

Nothing suits a pet-plant-thing-a-ma-jig quite like a good old bro-deo.

Head em up, move em out, rawhide.

                       "Who's a gooood boy, huh?" "That's a gooood boy.")

PanthersMom -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 8:15:59 PM)

people who need to insult others in order to feel good about themselves have personality disorders.  pity them.  then laugh.

KindLadyGrey -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 8:55:24 PM)

I feel so left out! Nobody sends me anything rudely hilarious. I get the usual wanking boys messages, but in their own way those are kind of genuine.

I was hoping when I read the topic of this thread that it was going to be a place where people popped into the thread, insulted a generic someone, and scurried away.

I started preparing some of my best "Your Mom" jokes.

Oh well. . .I suppose Your Mom jokes could take on an entirely different context in this lifestyle anyway ;)

CalifChick -> RE: Hit and Run Insults (1/1/2008 9:18:45 PM)

I don't get insult emails, probably because I don't have a picture up.  If someone wanted to insult me, I'd guess they would have to read one of my forum posts or my journal.  So that would mean, they'd have to be able to read.

It's been quiet for me lately, but every once in a while I get hit with a series all from the same person under different nicks.
