Caucuses are a throwback to the 1800's when most people were Farmers. They simply exclude too many people like the Army Captain on duty in Iraq who's from Iowa. You have to be there "in person" for up to 2 hours and local party business is also discussed and no absentee ballots are permitted. It will give somewhat of a developing picture of the race but the first *Election* is in New Hampshire.
