Hopefully he's figured out to not ask the question if he's not ready for the answer.
7 partners in a lifetime is average for a male, so ask him if he has one more if he would feel slutty.

Besides, as above, he's just scared you're comparing his shortcomings.
Confront him with this, reassure him it's not the size of his ship, it's the motion of the ocean and the length of the voyage, and if he continues to be a jerk about it and/or keep bringing it up after you've told him to drop it, dump his sad and sorry ass.

I consider myself a slut, proudly.

I have had fewer than 20 partners at 30 years old. The title to me is that I am ONE person's slut at a time. I will do and be whatever I can be for that one person. I can and will do things that others with more "numbers" may not.

Yikes.. most of y/You don't seem like you want to help the girl, instead of make jokes.
A few people made good points though. 15 isn't a slut first of all. Your man is probably jealous that you've had more than he has, and doesn't know what to do about it, so to make himself feel better, he calls/thinks your a slut. I seriously doubt he really thinks that.

OK but to give a helpful answer depends upon knowing more about their relationship and "soppy" stuff like that.

I think the responses have been spot on really. Its no good coming to a place like this and moaning about "slutdom". Many, both male and female, get a bit of a charge from that kind of thing.

There are limits tho', which will obviously vary with different partners From the Dom who may put his woman about a bit to the one who gets mad if she even looks at another man/woman.
Am I right ?

Damn I am so way above average it's not funny! 8-D
And I'm now an overachiever in this dept. The average college guy gets 7 partners in his first semester.

As far as Im concerned, any man who asks me how many people Ive slept with in a lifetime gets some made up number off the top of my head. Like ten. Anything else and men can end up getting weired out for some reason. Its just never going to be a great conversation with a terrific outcome. So now you know for next time you get asked that. Its nobodies business.

That's one hell of a loaded question. The only acceptable response is to look them in the eyes and ask "Why". Never answer.

Either you're a prig because you haven't had 'enough' experience or you're the town prostitute because you've had more than him.

Any man who asks that is showing his insecurity there. He needs to feel like a stud but doesn't feel that way, so he's looking for someone with no experience to compare him to in order to shore up his sagging ego.

There are those men who think the girl who "does it" isn't fit to take home to show Mom and Dad. So they sleep around, and then insist that the girl they settle down with be less promiscuous than he is.

Assuming those men end up with frigid, rigid, uptight wives - and I don't think it's an unreasonable assumption - they get what they damn well deserve.

And then 15 years, 2 kids, a house and MAYBE a divorce later, he ends up messaging me trying to act like it's NOT HIS FAULT his (ex) wife stopped having sex with him.

Boo freakin hoo. What do they think, they're entitled to a certain number of young, virginal women in their lives? What makes you so special?

The moral of the story: If you treat the women who are willing to do you like crap, you'll end up begging and paying for it.
