softness -> How about a clean slate for 2008? (1/2/2008 5:27:02 PM)

It's that time of year again ... new gym membership ... more fruit in the fridge .... no cigerettes in my handbag ... only a single gin in my tonic ... but really thats how I kick start every new term, i dont tend to wait for the New Year.

My mother always taught us to take things on rather than give them up ... its easier and has a higher success rate.

So what are you doing with your fresh start? your clean slate for 2008?
RULES
1) Nothing health related ... the TV is giving me enough twoddle about giving up smoking and taking up weightwatchers ... lets hear something new
2) Sparkly bonus points for anyone who can dig this thread up this time next year and prove they did it

I plan on having at least a plan for moving into a much more accommodating locale, first and foremost. Once that happens, I plan on doing something about this "uncorrupted" status that I've somehow been labeled with. ;-)

After a really challenging 2007 that involved constantly tearing around after other people and running myself ragged proving myself at work, 2008 is the year of the calm, quiet, and establishing some me time in the trail of chaos that is my life!

Time for at least one orgasm, everyday, all to myself, no help or hinderance (aside to any others i may choose or be induced to have) .. and the quiet time to enjoy the glow afterwards.

Having one night a week where I dont bring any work home, dont do any housework or chores, dont cook for or in anyway flap about for anyone else, dont go on the computer ,,, and just chill out, all night ...

i'm going to "learn" how to relax more and take more time out for myself.

I need this.  It's like the computer beckons me, with it's people and untold drama and funny.  I should organize my stuff, clean out my closets, read a book.  But I walk over to the computer.  I need to pick one evening a week where I do not turn the thing on when I get home from work.  I am powerless over its control.

Oh Katy if you can you will find it very freeing. I make a concious effort to avoid my computer frequently. Sometimes for days, (aside from the required work crap).

I am promising myself to spend more time doing things I enjoy that are good for me, more riding, more hiking. I think I am going to take a road trip by myself this spring, go hang out with my little sister for a few days doing horse stuff.

Build the spa bathroom I keep putting off.....because I will enjoy it and I hate the other bathroom upstairs.

Finish and open my website.....I hate doing THAT kind of computer stuff.

Get back to my french lessons.....I gave it up when my tutor/submissive died in November 2006.......it was too painful. But now I feel drawn to it, so much so.

I know, I am weak.  It's what I miss in my life, someone laying down the law and saying something like "Wednesday night is a computer-free zone."  I can do it for someone else, but not for myself.  Weak.

Katy, have you tried rewarding yourself by doing something else you enjoy?

KatyLied -> RE: How about a clean slate for 2008? (1/3/2008 9:46:29 AM)

No, but I do like that plan.

LaTigresse -> RE: How about a clean slate for 2008? (1/4/2008 6:29:19 AM)

Think...ohhhh, massage, spa treatment, good book and chocolate......just whatever is a wonderful treat for you that keeps you otherwise occupied.

The spirit is willing....the flesh is weak.

i so want to be kept updated on both of these things! perhaps we should set up a special thread for when you feel you're ready to be corrupted. the "corruption of the innocents (sappa delivers)" page!

I am going to take up my avid reading again and received 3 new books for Christmas that I wanted. I began last night with a book in bed with me. I am sick and have the time right now. I am also going to spend more time being nice to myself and proud of my own accomplishments rather than the ravings of an abusive weird mother. I will also take on moving to Spain where mine is moving to from Morocco. I also need to get back to my writing. I have 2 books that have ben hanging now for 18 months and they don't like being hung or any bdsm for that matter. [:D]
