I agree we do need a woman in the white house, women are just as capable as men at leading and making sound decisions. However I do not know if Hillary is the woman for the job. So to say all women are going to vote for her due to her gender is incorrect. Some women (like myself) actually think about who they are going to vote for based on the sides of the issues that particular politician stands on. Personally I would love to see a female, noncaucasian, atheist, lesbian kinkster run for President.[:D] I am sure some men voted for George Bush just because he was male, white and christian. With credentials like that he could only steer the nation towards the land of milk and honey (insert sarcasm here). As for Ann Coulter she loves to stir up controversey and nothing does that better then pointing the finger at a particular group and wagging it at them. It doesn't mean she believes what she is saying but she knows some groups in the country will believe it so it keeps her in the news. ~Lashra

I have come to the conclusion that on average, at least by the threads I read here, CM members are as oddball in there political preferences as their lifestyles are to the vanilla world. Therefore they are marginalized as a political force and relegated to the fanatical and irrelevant.

That would require then everyone to travel to a central tabulating center for then nation big enough to hold 100 million people or so, with handicapped facilities. And hang out for a few days, perhaps weeks. Also No one could vote absentee, soldiers couldn't vote. Nor could cops, people in hospitals, doctors, nurses, firemen, ect. Anyone with kids would have to bring them along, I guess that would get us up to a building that can hold 200 million people Sounds like one of the dumbest plans I have ever heard.

Hilary Clinton is well past the age of menstruating. Menopause usually occurs around 50 and she is well past that age pushing 60 .

There are certainly going to be a lot of women voting for Clinton just because she's a woman. It'll certainly help her in the election while hurting others. But, sexists.. gotta deal with 'em. Hopefully, sexist motivations won't influence the elections too much. PS- Just to point out, while sexist women will likely be voting for her, sexist men will likely be voiting against her. Also to point out, I don't think there are likely that many sexists that would vote just because of gender. I think a lot of women, and probably a good number of men, will give her an otherwise unallotted advantage based on her gender, but that may not necessarily mean that they're vote for her. Sexist men may do the same, but as a disadvantage based on her gender, instead.

Oooh Oooh, don't leave out the conservatives... they have a Mormon running, and man has he taken some crap for that! Personally, I think we should all vote for him... maybe he'd get polygamy legalised again! (Just so I don't get messages from any Mormons over that JOKE, my husband is LDS and I was RLDS.... so it was all in good fun, and meant good naturedly)

I think it's a strategy. See, if they vote for Hillary, she will be the one assasinated... if they vote for Obama, he'll be the one assasinated. If I were black, and cared about the rest of my people.. I would want the white bitch to take the hit. It is really quite smart, if you ask me.

Interesting debate. Someone said if you vote for hillary because shes a woman youre a moron. Well ok. fine. But lots of people gave moronic answers for other reasons as well. Well, I'm old enough to remember Senator Margaret Chase Smith's run for the presidency in 1964, and to regret she didn't make it. I remember Golda Meir as prime minister of Israel. Margaret Thatcher of Great Britain. Indira Gandhi in India. All of whom were as capable as any men were and in the case of Golda Meir, far beyond her opponent.
