I have to have surgury on My shoulder fairly soon and im not really sure what to expect, the doc can tell me "yeah it will hurt " but he hasnt had this surgury...... what I am having is a shoulder fusion with plates pins and bone graft.... has anyone out there had a fusion surgury or bone graft or pins/plates if so what is it like pain wise? any advice for after the surgury?

Check and see if there are any yahoo groups for your type of surgery. When I was facing surgery I joined a group for a few months and found it to be helpful.
