to the OP, while a room full of "Masters" sounds appealing, it is not as appealing to me as a room full of "my Masters" ;) otherwise it's just the local golf pro shop to me!

Off topic John, but I'm curious. What year were you at Bragg? It may well be that we ran accross each other there.

That incident was in October of 1962. We were getting ready to visit a certain tropical paradise, meet interesting people and kill them.

The trip got canceled at the last minute.

In 1962, i was 9 years old; i think we were somewhat aware of military action in Vietnam because i think i remember school assignments to write letters to the troops.

JFK was assasinated in Novemeber, 1963. We were left wondering if he was killed because he was Catholic, and the nuns never made anything clear. We were a bit frightened of Protestants and Jews because of this. So are the seeds of hate planted; i was somehow immune.

IronBear and John Warren brought back to me sad memories of how long the war went on; and the lives affected by it.

Did I mention Vietnam? I wasn't headed there that time.

the skin topsoil for tears,

each in his way time has tossed.

is this a partial poem or something you just wrote?
would love to see the rest if there is a rest...... provokes alot of thought in me.

Nothing under creation that I can think of, but the Hymn speaks clearly of the afterlife.

If the Army or the Navy ever get to heaven's scenes
They will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines

I bow to our people that served in the armed forces, any branch, today, yesterday, anytime...I have heard some of their humor...as I am not far from Ft. Campbell...

Respectfully,
