This has been a tremendous fantasy of mine for a long time - being auctioned off as a submissive in a room full of dommes, not knowing who I will have to please, what I will have to do... I was wondering if people/groups actually carry these events out, and is anybody has had experience in an auction setting? Thanks in adance

We have been to auctions where both subs and Doms were auctioned off as a fund raiser for the group. Normally what is auctioned is the right to negotiate. Usually the negtiations are done right away and the play takes place the same evening at the evening's event (play party). Some times, since the purchaser and the purchased person usually already know each other, they might decide to make it a longer more private thing and agree on a time and place. It is seldom what we read in books or imagine in our fantasies.

Come to NYC any New Year's eve and go to the play party at Paddle given by TES and DSF every year. And there are auctions at other events throughout the year given by various groups across the country. MNN

I held a fundraising auction at one point. Terms were set for bidding and both submissives and Dominants were auctioned who chose to participate. I had a stipulated 2 hours with the person ''won'' not counting the time immediately after a ''sell'' which was negotiation time. If the parties involved wanted more than 2 hours then they could choose to do so. I had one Dominant male who ''won'' a submissive and all he wanted was 2 hours of frozen margaritas and talk. I don't think that most are what your fantasy imagines of the shackled submissive wearing sack cloth, sold off and having nothing to say about it.

They absolutely happen. At the last one I attended, I was fortunate enough to bid wisely and win two slaves for the evening. One, if not both, happen to be members here on CM.

I have participated in auctions twice. Generally a sub and slave steps forward and prepared information (limits, areas of interest, personal information) about this person is read. The winner then gets a chance to negotiate. I am not very enthusiastic about auctions. One auction I attended had too many participants and became too long. The auction began on stage and then was moved to a corner to allow the rest of the party to begin. It lost attention and the number of dominants following it. It made for an awkward moment when a sub came forward and no one was bidding on her. Also, auctions can be awkward if one is bid upon by a person where the sub feels an existing awkwardness of an unreciprocated interest and pursuit of the sub. Cheers, Sea

I've been auctioned off as a Domme, but I agree with Sea in that some auctions take too long and it can be hideous to be on stage and have no one bid on you. So much to the point that I've been asked "If no one bids on me please bid this" and had money or whatever the barter of the evening is thrust into my hand. The fantasy you have might come true if you were willing to do an auction and say "these are my hard limits, don't break them" and let your new Owner do anything else they please, but I've rarely heard of actual auctions where this is the case. ~Elorin

Yes they happen (as everyone has said) and I've been part of one - as a charity event. That seems to happen a lot too. It can get a little humiliating though. I was paraded out on the stage on a leash with a collar around my neck and a ball gag in my mouth. I also had to wear a cock cage and harness (to keep me erect) and a plug in my ass. It was not easy to walk in that, believe me. I had to stand there while my limits were read aloud. Another list was read that listed the things that have been done to me in the past - so the dommes knew where my experiences were. It gave them a better idea of what they could do to me - what would be acceptable for me as a sub. On top of that, they were allowed to come on stage and "inspect" me - but they were not allowed to touch. So imaging standing on a stage in front of room of people - totally naked, bound, gagged, erect, a plug in your ass, on a leash, while others are there inspecting your naked body, and listening to someone read a list of how these people in the room can torture you later on in the evening. It was humilating, but then that was part of the event - and I really did enjoy it. I would do it again, as the domme who won me ending up giving me a wonderful strap-on fuck to cap the evening off just right. [:D]

Montreal often has auction parties though the concept is different than fundrasing auctions upon paying at the door ($20) everyone gets $2000 in play money so there is no finacial discrimination and there is more for auction than just slaves, sometimes services or prizes

I've been a part of two, one which I thought was a really bad scene, the other I rank up there with some of my favorite experiences. The bad one was a traditional bidding type auction. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, this type of auction has it's drawbacks. There's the chance you could go unsold, or given a "pity" bid. In this case, the volunteer "auctioneer" was a total pig, and somehow had gotten the idea that insulting those up on the block was the way to get people roused to bidding. The second one, which was non-traditional, was wonderful. There were only ten of us up for auction. This event took place in an art gallery that was being used for a play party between shows. So, big empty space. The front part of the gallery was set up with ten 3'x3'x3' cubes, which were normally used for sculpture. Ten of us were bound, gagged and blindfolded, and placed on these pedestals. Each pedestal had a number, and a listing of likes, and hard/soft limits. The Dom/mes and couples were allowed to circulate around the room for about an hour, and the auction was silent. However, being touched, and commented on by the various attendees was an amazing experience! You begin to have the feeling of being a new car/truck in the showroom... I was lucky enough to be purchased by a TS girl whom I'd been flirting with for several previous parties. Although I was supposed to technically just serve her for that evening, she made it plain to me that she intended to get her monies worth for the rest of that weekend... to which I was happy to consent. Just be careful of the situation you sign yourself up for. It can be either an exhilerating expereince, or a total soul crusher... my suggestion would be to go with a group that has run a few of these events before.

At Pennsic (a yearly SCA event), there's a group of 'Gorean' people who are not strictly recognized by the organization who hold an auction as well.

Yes we have an auction here at least once a year. Everyone is given play money to bid with and you can wheedle more out of the organisers during the night. I have never seen someone not bought. The organisers are clever and bring out the merchandise in order of worst to best, so everyone seems to get sold and bring a higher price than the last (which makes you feel good!). I suspect they also arrange bidders for the low cost merchandise so no-one gets left out. The real competiton is to bring the highest price (and of course all the Dommes -auctioned last of course - want to be the most expensive purchase!). Its GREAT fun. The first time I agreed to be auctioned as a Domme (after much arm twisting by the organisers beforehand), I ordered my then slave to win the bidding or he would get the caning of a lifetime at the club. His (jealous) ex-Mistress found out his orders and formed a consortium of all her friends to pool their money to buy me. So my slave had to run around to beg, borrow and steal play money like a mad man! In the end he won me by bidding more fake money than he actually had - and he got away with it!! (so I still caned him[;)]) Another year I made an (overly cocky) sub go in the auction. He hated standing on stage in his underwear being inspected (and I didn't really like him massaging some other Domme all night!), but it was good for him. he learned a bit of humility I have also been auctioned and won by subs that were boring and incompatible, but it was still a fun challenge. Give it a go, but don't expect the scene afterwards with the buyer to be amazing. It will be pot luck who and what you get (unless you rig the auction)

Yes, In the group I ran in Virginia for years we would have a 50/50 auction, 50% would go to NCSF and the other 50% helped to fund expenses and new equipment for the group. Mz Stormz

I was in one once by accident (long story....but a good one). It was totally fun and just like I imagined it would be, except for the outcome. (part of the long story...but not for here). So, yes, they do exist and not just for charity events. They happen at BDSM clubs as stated above and at events.

I have heard of them happening before in other parts of the country. Would be into that if their was an auction in Ohio. I'd even put in some cash to a domme I would hope would want me to help her have me.
