i am at a loss as to who to vote for no matter who wins the primaries.......but i have always voted in the democratic primary.

i seem to recall seeing something a few months ago about democrats that were going to vote in the republican primary for someone they thought could beat hillary, in the event she gets the nomination.

so i am torn, vote against her in the primary on the democrat side or vote on the republican side, wondering if there are really enough folks that would still vote for her to move her forward.

one side of my brain says it makes perfect sense to check the republican box at the primary-the other says its like cancelling out my own vote.

ugh.....some of you are politically savvy, so i hope you will choose to reply.

As you phrase it, it would be cancelling your vote.  The proposed strategy is to vote in the Republican Primary for someone like Paul who Hillary could easily beat, while asuming that Hillary will get the nomination.  Republicans could do the same by voting for Kucinich or Gravell in the Dem primary.  You would need to  have a large number of people do it to change the outcome of the Republican process though, so its a pretty risky move, if you are a Hillary supporter.  The loss of votes for her might end up with Edwards or Obama.  So you have to assume the machinery will put her in with out a large enough segment of her support base to change the outcome of the Republican process.  However if you don't give a damn which Dem gets the nomination, it could be a viable choice.   It's really a personal choice.  I would say that putting your energy into getting your best candidate makes more sense than trying to wreck the other partie's process.

You can always do like so many and pretend you support Paul on the Internet, while still voting for the Candidate you support in the Dem primary.

i dont want hillary in office, in case i didnt make that clear.......i think she is dangerous, not to mention i find her to be full of shit every time she openes her mouth.

Well if your strongest motivation is to keep Hilary out of office, I would sugest voting for Obama or Edwards in the Democrat Primary.  Vote for one of the "electable" Democrats, preventing her from even getting the nomination, and having zero chance of becoming president.

How I vote on primary day here will depend on a couple of factors...

If Hillary is close enough in the polls in California that my vote against her will matter, I will vote against her by throwing my vote to Obama or Edwards... in my heart I want tovote for Kucinich...

I will vote third party if Hillary wins the democrats nomination...

i almost voted third party when kerry got the nomination, but i so didnt want him in office i voted for bush, afraid he had a chance.

its really sad, want to vote democrat and theres no one there who seems worthy.

i reckon some republicans feel this way too.....may be what creates a decent third party that has a chance though.  seems most folks my age are pretty disgusted with politics.
