I think it would be fun to wrap my sub up, but I can't quite figure out how to do it. If I wrap him standing, might be a little tricky to remain there long. How is this done? How long should I leave him in? (hmm makes him sound like a turkey) LOL

Push him to the floor when you're done.  Or the bed.  Or the driveway.  Whatever floats yer boat.  Oh, but not the pool, no, not the pool.

If you have any type of massage table or coffee table, attach him to the table with the saran wrap.  Get the industrial size from Costco..  What to do with him after?  Tell him, "goodnight. sleep tight.  Don't let the bed bugs (or anyone else but me) bite!"

Instead of saran wrap, I'd recommend getting some pallet wrap at either Home Depot or the Container Store (they have mini rolls which are super cool.) It's a lot easier to speed-wrap someone and have an element of surprise to what you are doing with pallet wrap, and the handle makes it a lot easier to....handle. (As in, wrap the person quickly, tightly, and thoroughly.)

If you are wrapping someone from head to toe, be sure to pad their potential pressure points (ankles, knees, elbows) with a towel or something else soft, and don't leave them in the mummification more than 30 minutes for starters (plastic wrap doesn't breathe, so they can possibly dehydrate beyond that time.) And be sure to have some EMT shears to cut them out of the wrap - you don't want to stick them with sharp shears or a knife or anything like that. Use your fingers as a guide to separate the wrap from their skin while cutting.

I love mummification -- there's so much fun you can have with it! Go nuts!

Windygal -> RE: Saran Wrap (1/4/2008 7:24:57 PM)

so, my question still stands, how do I position him while wrapping him? If I do it with him standing, and I try to push him off to the bed, he may fall, not too far to the ground since he is short hehe but I would prefer to hurt him on purpose not because I don't know what I am doing :)

You could wrap him in bubble wrap and then pop the bubbles by stomping on him.

Aileen,
you are just smokin' hot, you know that?

Two main options:

First, start the wrapping with him standing near a bed or table he can lie down on. Start wrapping him from the head (or shoulders) down. Once you get down to his ass, have him lie down on the bed with his legs hanging off. Continue down to his knees, then have him turn so that he's entirely on the bed. Then you just have to elevate his feet for a couple of minutes while completing the wrap.

One additional possibility would be to use a long plank elevated on a pair of boxes, in place of the bed, and wrap him to that once he's snug.

Option two, is to find something for him to stand up next to, and tie him to that. In this case, start with his feet, go up to his thighs, then have him hop over to the support (pole, tree, whatever. Wrap his lower body to the tree, then have him lean forward so you can do his upper body, then wrap that to the tree.

Gobble gobble,

As others have said I wrap them beside the bed and then push them over on to it.

Be careful with industrial wrap some of it has chemicals in it and this can be irritating to the skin.
As for how long...watch your sub and keep an eye on their temperature, they can get hot and sweat thus dehydrating so have water nearby and something to cut it with.  Most important thing is..... enjoy.

Windygal, I love using saran wrap or horse bandages as mummification aids. Make sure the person is standing at the side of a bed. I begin by wrapping each limb individually, once this is done I then work from the chest downwards, ensuring that a large breath is taken prior to wrapping around the ribs. If you want to cut small areas later to expose naked flesh for play, I suggest you place a coin over each nipple and in the area the groin is, so that you don't cut into skin. Wrap the saran down (over the arms/entire torso) as far bottom of their buttocks. They can now sit down on the edge of the bed, with the aid of your dominant hand at their back to firm/guide them, and swing their legs onto the bed where you can finish wrapping them. Remember that the material is stretchy, so there's alwyas a little give with movement.

cbtok -> RE: Saran Wrap (1/5/2008 7:31:46 AM)

Miss Morrigan has it down. A very good review of how to do a complete wrapping.

I've been wrapped before in a public venue at a party. First my legs were wrapped and that thickness of that wrapping provided me with a cushion for pressure points. Then my arms were wrapped. The next step was to do the torso with my arms at my sides. I was then led (as I was walking pretty stiffly) to a vertical support (that was holding up part of the building) and my legs were wrapped together and I was wrapped to the pole.

Last, but not least Bondage Tape was used to secure my head to the post and also to limit my vision (pretty much completely).

Miss Morrigan's excellent coin idea is not one I might have though of. In order to expose body parts, the group that was playing with me used surgical bandage scissors to cut through the layers without cutting skin.

Finally, a layer of duct tape was layered on top of everything, save the bits that were exposed for play. I can confidently report that I was really loopy after that evening and had a nice warm feeling for several days.

A word of warning: Make sure your "victim" is well hydrated and that he or she does not overheat. But you knew that, right?

I recommend Joseph Bean's Mummification DVD and book on this topic.

Course that's partially b/c I'm one of the victims, but also because Joseph covers a lot of concern.

If you are going to use pallet wrap, make sure all bare skin is covered directly with Saran or other food grade plastic wrap first to prevent the chemicals causing problems with the skin.

I know that I personally can be wrapped head to toe without support and then hop to where I  am expected to lie down, but that this makes tops VERY nervous. It is generally accepted in the circles I frequent to wrap the upper torso wherever you wish to perform the wrap, wrap from hips to knees with a place for the sub to sit down or lean against, and not wrap from knees to ankle until the sub is in the position they will be in for good. The alternative is to have one or two strapping helpers (male or female, your choice) nearby to help manipulate the plastic wrapped package once you are done (and to keep him upright while you are wrapping if necessary).

I can't say how long to keep your sub in wrap or not, although I've known of a few scenes that lasted more than a few hours. Make sure the sub is hydrated before hand and if it will be a long scene make sure hydration is available during the scene. You sweat in plastic wrap worse than in a sauna. Length would be determined, in my view, by how long your scene will last. But when I mummify someone my goal is to then torture the bits I can get to (or cut my way down to more fun bits) with the added sensitivity granted by the mummification. I don't do a lot of sensory deprivation/wrap them then leave them sit kind of scenarios.

Thank you, cbtok. It's something I started some years ago and enjoy immensely, I find binding someone like that very therapeutic.

I suggest the coins b/c I know there are others, like me, that don't use surgical bandage scissors and rather than risk cutting someone with a scalpal, the coins are a good, hard surface to ensure a slit can be safely made so that I can slide my fingers underneath, pulling up the material and away from the skin before cutting further. I do not recommend this method for anyone other than someone extremely comfortable with using scalpals and would likely suggest they use the bandage scissors you mentioned.

This is something I neglected to mention. Once I have wrapped a person I also then apply two layers of duct tape which makes a kind of 'shell'. and as you mentioned, the person mummified feels so safe/secure in their cocoon that it rebalances them giving them that feel-good factor for some days.

Windygal -> RE: Saran Wrap (1/6/2008 4:04:57 PM)

thanks for your well thought-out advice, now where did I put that sub?? :)

MisPandora -> RE: Saran Wrap (1/6/2008 9:41:31 PM)

Do the wrapping beside something that you can navigate him down or onto -- a futon, a bed, a couch, a massage table, bondage bed, whatever.  OR, if you have an option like an upright whipping post, you can wrap him directly to the post, poster of the end of the bed, and not have to worry about his balance at all.

As someone else said, the industrial kitchen sized plastic wrap rolls work better.

Wrap the upper body down to the thighs.  Depending on how you choose to mummify, you can leave arms out, wrapping them separately until he is down.  You can then duct tape his arms to the rest of him.  I generally just wrap the arms in and work quickly so he doesn't lose balance. I then move him onto the surface, supine.  I tend to get onto the bondage table, prop his feet against my chest, and continue wrapping his lower legs until he is fully encased.

For the head, I use a darlex hood from Mr S, and wrap saran atop it.  I've also done saran directly on the face and then duct taped on top of that.  Saran is also a good underwrap for a full duct taping.  (Can you tell I like duct tape?)

MizKittenD -> RE: Saran Wrap (1/7/2008 2:21:20 AM)

I also try not to wrap the armpits, as that area can quickly get pinched, and there are many things close to the skin there that shouldn't be pinched.

MaamJay -> RE: Saran Wrap (1/7/2008 5:17:43 AM)

Some great ideas here. I have wrapped subs free-standing, standing against a post, and used the techniques above to maneouvre wrapped subs onto a bed, or bondage table. I have also wrapped someone onto a simple chair so they could sit there for quite a while quite comfortably. An alternative to cutting into the wrap to access some bits, is to wind the wrap carefully around those bits at appropriate angles covering the surrounding flesh but leaving them exposed ... quite easy on a male (though female breasts could be equally easy). At one play party, I left them exposed but incorporated in the wrapping a pre-written sign over his abdomen saying "PLEASE FONDLE" with an arrow pointing down, thus fulfilling this boy's fantasy, as he was also blindfolded, had ear plugs in his ears, and his head was mummified with crepe bandages, leaving his nostrils open. he spent the whole evening in perpetual excitement as unknown hands touched, poked and prodded! However, I made sure he had plenty to drink (had a straw) and had a urinal bottle on hand should that be required. Oh yes, basic rule ... send your sub to the toilet before you start! It was also winter in Australia ... full plastic wrap isn't a summer activity here! The same sub was a pain wuss, but enjoyed being flogged when wearing either wrap or a rubber suit, so I have also partially wrapped him to the cross for a flogging.

With the safety precautions that have been noted ... have fun!
