Often submisives throw it up to Doms that they dont read all their profile. I see it In submisive profiles all the time.Even in conversations If you  miss or forget one word or nuance deeply buried in a  huge profile some subs will go into a huge  rant. But  what about you subs ? Do you read every word in a Doms profile before you respond to them?
I just had a sub go off on me because Im too far away from her. After reading my profile How could she posably think that?

I spent so long writing my profile out lol.  I figure with enough patience that I'll find the sub/slave that fits me perfectly :)

I find it extremely interesting to read profiles here and on other fetish sites.  Blogs/journals, too. On this site I usually limit my reading to those who have 'viewed my profile' or have contacted me via email because I'm  not really in the 'search' mode at this time.

My profiles here and on other sites are purposefully very vague, but my inbox remains full.  If someone sparks me and a discussion insues, I'll gladly direct them to my online blogs or photo galleries.

It is sad that people make other people so jaded.

i do read the profiles if they're within 25 miles of me, however, i read all journal entries and have listed several members as favorites if their journal entries are consistent ;)  No, not a stalker, merely enjoy good stories especially if they're true.  What's that you say? Get a James Patterson novel?  Already done!  But i can't very well read a book at my desk, so i opt for online reading ;)

I pride myself in being thorough. Before responding to any messages and, sometimes, before responding to a sub in a chatroom, I'll read his profile. I think it is just plain courtesy and respect. Profiles are very informative. Even those badly written can let you know why you should stay away from that particular person....(smile).

Unfortunately, many subs take writing a good profile lightly, risking being noticed less and greatly hindering their chances of attracting that special One. A profile that is honest, witty and succint always makes me curious. When, I am impressed by a sub's profile, I have no issues in sending a quick note complimenting him. On the other hand, nothing is as frustrating as the subs that dare to initiate contact and do not have a profile posted. I have no tolerance for that degree of arrogance or lack of imagination.

I guess my faith in the  wholesomeness of submissives is shaken.

This made me laugh out loud.  I'm picturing two slices of multigrain bread... "wholesome".  LMAO.

If I receive an email and it is complimentary I will often respond with a polite thank you without reading the profile of the person sending it.

If I get further emails from the same person then I will read all of their profile, journal entries, check to see if they viewed my profile, etcetera before replying again. I like to know to whom I am speaking and to see if they also took the time to read my profile.

I came pre-jaded..no one made me this way. I read profiles...but they don't mean much. The boards seem to be the way to learn about people

So how far away are you from her? Because saying you're in the L.A. area could still mean a three hour drive and some people aren't into that.

I'm in the NYC area loosely speaking. So was he. Which meant a three hour drive on good days and 5 hours when the bridges were under construction. Shudder.

Miles speaking, 125 is nothing but travel time can be a lot more.
