Sometimes I am surprised. This highly intelligent group sometimes falls for it.

Now a thread is up about Huckabee, or his ilk, using some phone tricks, but are they tricks ? They call like a poll, then if you don't pick the Huckster, whoever you did pick is chided and derided.

Now let's get this straight. This is a phone call. And then they try to find a key issue to turn you off of the other guy, if you picked him in the poll.

Is this ethical ? Wait a minute here, is it unethical ? If a short statement of an opinion or something like that can make you change your vote so quickly, just how sure were you ? I do not defend the action at all, I think they are the actions of scoundrels, but nothing can be done because in reality, they have nothing wrong. The listeners are willing participants.

Tell you what, I got my job right now, but if I ever get to a point where I have to "campaign", which also means to advertise, I will use each and every tool at my disposal. And I am going to tell you right now why this is absolutely moral. And it is.

Becoming a political candidate is akin to starting a business, a big one. It is no piece of cake, and some do and some don't have the brains. Those who don't use people who do. I bet that job pays better than mine.

However I am entertaining the idea of starting a business this year. I believe that I now have the maturity and experience to make it succeed. And I do not get into a game to lose.

When I get into business I will use each and every psychological trick in the book, and even a few that aren't, to get the job. I kid you not.

I do not get into a game to lose. And I will not. I was taught how to gamble and now in my life I might be able to do something. For me, no matter what the political climate I will be OK. Now I am talking about running a business, it is not inconcievable that I would make a hundred grand a year, or with my plan possiby ΒΌ of that if I do not work, just handle the business end. Then I would keep my job, which is parttime but pays nice.

Maximizing my life, that is a good way to put it.

Now for any job I have to sell myself to the boss. When I got my latest job he did not tell me what he wanted to pay me. I told him how much it costs. But that's neither here nor there right now.

What is, is the point that these people you see on TV are already raking in the money. The point I make of not getting into the game to lose, well apply it a hundredfold to these folks. And they are good at it.

Now in front of your face will be the two candidates that the powers that be allow you to choose from. But that does not mean they are scum, nor stupid. Although they do (well the Pubs anyway) think that they are running for King of the world, they are not. Their handlers will keep them from fucking up before the election.

No, they see this job as a little bit King of the world and a little bit big money. They already have money, alot more than me, and if that is how it is, so be it. If money is the way to keep score then so be it. So be it.

In the 1980s a four star General made over nine thousand dollars a month. Back then IIRC the President still only made about two hundred grand a year back then.

Things have changed. If I start a business I want you to sign on the line, and I will do my best to make you satisfied. As a private individual, and sueable by the way, I have some incentive to make you happy, getting that final check.

But a politician is different, once in, he can do things to stay in. Don't play stupid with me, I know this can be done. What's more, about the Huckabee [hone thing, AMMA tellya what right now. If I were a democrat, well, that pretty far fetched because this would be a smart democrat. But if I were a democrat, this phone poll thing mention in an earlier post would be the perfect ploy. The perfect play in the game if you will.

It is all a gamble. They anted up and that is that. I was very surprised to see Ron Paul on TV the other day. He actually made sense, especially talking about the war. Others were invoking keywords, words to distract, and I CAN TELL. Obfuscation is their middle name. Paul's point was consistent and coherent, we do not belong there, or anywhere but here. Why can't anyone see the reason in that ?

Hold on here, why is it us who have to maintain a military base halfway across the world ?

Hold on here, why does anybody ?

So get the flamethrowers out, and I will get my suit. But first I am going to play the guitar for a short time. That should give you time to get them all warmed up.

In short (I know it's a bit late for that) I don't think Paul will be Pres. The others are feeding the people what they want to hear, and the sheeple will listen. Glory and victory, the same song sung by politicians from the beginnings of society. But Ron Paul did not do that.

Really, it may, at this late stage in the game, strike a chord with many US citizens. What if that happened ? What if the older, more mature people turned out in droves ond put Paul in the big chair ?

Right now, a vote for Ron Pauol is a vote that you are willing to make some sacrifice for your country. But if he wins it will not be a sacrifice for the oil companies. He will bring it home, much as he can.

And I  bet Ron Paul won't move to Dubai.

Enough for now.

Then there's "slander by poll" that seemed big a few years ago.

You get a call. "Hi, I'm from the XYZ Scientific Foundation and we're taking a poll. Would knowing that God wanted you to vote Republican make you more or less willing to vote Republican? Would knowing that Hillary Clinton is a lesbian who bites the heads off of live rats make you more or less willing to vote Democratic? etc. etc."

It`s a "push poll" and it`s illegal.

Probably, for good  reason.

There`s also a reason republicans do it,because is works,and seems so innocuous(look at T`s responce).But it`s against the law.

There was that "push poll" Bush did in South Carolina, where after someone indicated they were for McCain, they were asked if they knew that McCain had a out of wed-lock "black-baby".

McCain had adopted her.Did a good thing, but for some on the right,he picked the wrong color.

Who knew that George Bush could be so cunning and awful?Well,we know now.

During the 2000 Republican presidential primary, Senator John McCain was the target of a whisper campaign implying that he had fathered a black child out of wedlock. (McCain's adopted daughter is a naturally dark-skinned child from Bangladesh). Voters in South Carolina were reportedly asked, "Would you be more likely or less likely to vote for John McCain if you knew that he fathered an illegitimate black child?". McCain would later lose the South Carolina primary, and the nomination, to George W. Bush.
In addition, on the week of the nomination vote, dozens of radio stations were called on the same day asking talk show hosts what they thought of McCain's having fathered a black child out of wedlock.

One of the best ones by far, though there are thousands like it,was a "push poll" telling callers, that John Kerry was fix`n to take their Bibles away, and put gay teachers in their classrooms.

So outrageous to be dismissed by most, but these slick douche bags know where to target their filthy messages. They find the dopes who would swallow that poop, and blanket that area with hundreds of thousands of calls, ferreting out the weak of mind and dosing them with the political attacks. And it`s works, and did then.

These are the most shameless lot of goons ,with their I`m holier than tho BS,and then do this crap.
