I met a sub of mine that I no longer have that would tremble everytime I would touch her. Her breathing would grow short. I even thought she would come out of her skin and run away. Is this normal?
I know she was abducted and prisoned for 3 years to only have a baby by that man at a young age. Could this of attributed to the problem?

The trembling could also be an excitement reaction and not necessarily a negative one. Most of us associate trembling and the like with a negative thing, but like with dogs, it can be from excess excitement as much as it can be from fear. Anticipation, nerves, arousal... these can all have the same physical manifestation. Without knowing how she actually felt, you cant really know which it was.
I had always worried that Angel's trembling when we played was from fear of repeated abuse. Actually, it was a cmbination of the cold which he is hypersensative to and body positions that caused his muscles to tremor even though he didnt even realize they were. Fox has had similiar reactions from playtime, and even from as little as looking at pictures. So, unless you know more about her feelings when its actually going on, theres no way to tell. You cant diagnose a reaction just from the reaction, you need to know more of the inner workings.

I tremble at the mere thought of Darcy, let alone at his touch.  And I have never been abducted nor abused.
It doesn't have to be a reason, other than the control you might have over another causing a positive tremble.

It takes someone special to make me tremble, but when I do it's because I am excited, nervous, (and usually) in love. (or at least lust!)

Thanks for all the replies thus far. I wish I knew of this resource when she was in the area. I think I could of found pleasures unknown versus confused feelings. I feel I only tapped the surface of a true submissive. I am still searching for that and maybe I can find again soon.

i would say ask her directly what is behind the reaction to your touch.  [;)]   i have been known to tremble out of fear (hot), lust (hotter) or a combination of the two (hottest).

Yup, What thedark said. I tremble ( not to mentions other things) while thinking about Master, just froming hearing his voice, when he touchs me.

For me it would feel odd not to tremble and get all excited from a mere thought of him or his touch.

I shake and get in a cold sweat from adenalin.  It's not necessarily emotional, I actually didn't notice it until it was pointed out to me.

Excitement makes me tremble, so, for me at any rate, trembling is a good sign. Genuine fear, on the other hand, makes me go very still, poised to either run or fight.

xian has this reaction to a particular Dominant male all the time.  It is far from a negative thing for her;  xian has never known *why* He brings out this reaction in her, but He does, and she loves it.  It is not something she can control at all, and something she wouldn't want to try and control.  It is very special to her.

To get to the bottom of why this is happening to the sub in question, ask her, she may give you a similar answer.

3 years of the experiences she had would have some slight bearing on her behaviour, I'm fairly sure.

I sometimes tremble when I want someone.  I have created other reactions in men I have dated.  <g> I particularly enjoy seeing goosebumps rise when they get near me.
