Two guys in New York wheeled a dead old guy into a check-cashing store faking he's alive and tried to cash his social security check.

Why wouldnt they get charged for moving a dead body around?

It's really not funny but the visuals i got from that story made me laugh [The witnesses saw the two pushing the chair with Cintron flopping from side to side and the two individuals propping him up and keeping him from flopping from side to side," Browne said.]  Does anyone see a comedy in the making of that?  It did remind me of Weekend at Berines too lol.

How desperate can 2 individuals be for 300 dollars - 150 a piece - how pathetic.

...or how hungry were they? Or, to be fair, greedy?
i am curious as to the motives of this hapless pair........

Yeah, it's hard to say. Both men are 65 years old, and one shared an apartment with the deceased man. Maybe they were hungry. Or maybe the deceased man owed one of these guys money, and when he died, they figured "Oh shit, now he'll never pay it back!"

Doing something this idiotic seems to lend itself towards desperation. But I could be wrong.

Was the corpse's name "Guiliani?"

mnottertail -> RE: Two guys try to cash a check with a corpse (1/9/2008 1:49:20 PM)

and was one of the casher wannabes named 'Robertson' or son of god, or gods chosen prophet or anything like that?

A bit off the OP but it reminded me:

A few years back I got a check in the mail for 75 bucks. It was from an automatic deduction/deposit I had on my PC loan that I had forgot to stop. I had over paid and they kept sending me checks for quite a few months (fixing their books monthly I guess - they sent me $50 each month) it was great, like extra money. So this last $75 check they sent me for some damn reason had not only my name on it but my ex's name as well. So I called them and asked for the check to be re-issued. The fuckers told me they couldn't do that with out HIS ok! Needless to say I never got to cash that check. And the damn loan was all mine and none of the other checks had his name on them! I would've carted his dead ass (after I killed him for saying no) to the check cashing place too! Yup, over 75 bucks! He'd moved to Texas by then though, the punk.......

Stay warm,

Stupid idiots, I can get three times that amount selling the severed limbs off of the Internet.
Toes can go for 20-30 bucks, and you don't even want to know what I could sell the removed brain for, not to mention the skull, hands.
Hell if there are any tatoo's..thats an automatic 60 rite their if you tan it, and put it on a frame.

-I just love skin art.-
