Some of us think that not having it around any more means it's been fixed!

Like the manner in which our pets are "fixed"?

Of course, others will feel differently but....to me...that site was such a sappy place that it was unrealistic...more like the fantasy that everyone wants and not the reality that they get.
I absolutely agree. It was a set of rose colored glasses that failed to acknowledge that real life BDSM D/s isn't like the Beauty books. It failed to acknowledge that other forms of BDSM D/s exist. It perpetuated the "Uber Super Subblier Slave" than you manifesto.

Only my opinion but I felt that Castlerealm did more damage than good
I agree and I think it did the community as a whole a disservice.

CastleRealm was the biggest pile of bullshit online.  It has caused more heartbreak and conflict than the idiocy that came out of chatrooms.

It set up an unrealistic concept of what dominance was and what a dominant should be, same goes for submission.  I have yet to meet a dominant  or submissive who was perfect or any better than a decent vanilla person.

I remember reading some crap there about what a BDSM event was like, all dominants, no submissives or at least they sat kneeling in the corner or some other bullshit.  Hell, most groups have trouble if more than two dominants stand next to each other and the submissives are often the ones who actually get the work done and or run the groups.

Castlerealms was like heroin for the chat room short bus kids.
