i think its still against the law tho for a roman catholic to hold office in england. and i can't see it happening, coz like, the anglican church is i think, the 2nd biggest organised religion in the world, after the church of rome. and if the queen wozn't in charge, then who would be? and wot would happen to all the churches it owned, and skools, and houses and charities? i just think theres to much money involved... if the issue of god don't win the arguement for the church, then i'm sure money will, coz thats a religion wot even politicians understand. (even if they do accidently forget when somebody gives them £103,000!)

Interestingly enough, there are more church going catholics in England today than church going protestants, for the first time since the reformation - something like 860,000 to 840,000. Did you know our bishops are appointed into our second house, and they have power to block law (supposedly the people's laws) passed in the House of Commons? So, we have a situation where one of the most secular nations on earth appoints bishops to oversee our desires. You have to laugh. Then again, in the celebrity and consumer led Western world, there is no enlightened nation; the West is in desperate need of an enlightenment.
