however, talking to the "bottom" about his or her likes and dislikes with spanking and then checking in with the "bottom" during the spanking. after an inital spanking session or three, you'll probably get a feel for what he or she can take..and how much he or she WANTS to take. like's been mentioned, some like it HEAVY and like a very bruised ass...others just like a lil erotic spanking to get the juices flowing....and sometimes.... the "bottom" may like it one way one day....and another way on a different day.

What's acceptable is knowing your submissive well enough to know what her personal threshold is and not taking her beyond what she can handle. I do not tell the Man when to stop. My body and its responses tell him when I am reaching the point of distress.
