When I first heard there would be a fourth Rambo film I cringed, groaned and cringed again, until I was persuaded to watch the trailer... Now I can't wait to see the film.

I can see a 61 year old Rambo being a reality. If you don't belive me, try picking a fight with an "Over the Hill" Green Beret, Navy Seal, or other Special Forces. Hell, just try taking one out in game of paint ball. Trust me when I say that it's a fight or challenge you would never forget.

Funny,  I've always held that they ruined the legacy of the novel that the first movie was based on by not killing off Rambo at the end of the first movie.  (- I've always wanted to ask David Morrell how it felt having to completely rewrite the character when he was commissioned to pen the novelization for First Blood II,  a novelization which would never have happened if the moviemakers had followed the storyline of his original novel. -)

But I knew they'd make a new Rambo movie after Rocky Balboa actually did fairly well in revenue.

I'll definately see it.  I liked how he gave Rocky some closure in his last movie.  I suspect this will have some of the same qualities.  Stallone is still in excellent physical shape and believable in this role.

I've enjoyed some of the last Clint Eastwood movies as well and he has a decade on Stallone.  Making movies that people can go to and enjoy is not limited to the young.  As a matter of fact Hollywood appears to be running out of ideas as we are seeing old ideas with a new spin and mostly no where near as good as the original offering.   The remake of "The Shining" was a total dud imo.  No one could stand in Nicholson's boots as the father being taken over by the evil Overlook.  The scene with him chopping the door down with an axe is an excellent example.

Put someone else in Stallone's place to do Rambo?  Egads...I have to wonder what pantywaist would get cast in that role and make a mockery of it.

The trouble with movie trailers,is that they are designed to give one a glimpse of the most exciting bits, to lure you in and make you think, ''oh, that looks worth watching, I just have to see the film now'', or thoughts to that effect. It is as they almost pose an answer you just have to see the question to.

I see trailers for many films I think I would like to see, like that last Beowulf picture, but as always, I forget.

I may pick it up at sometime most likely when it is released very soon on video.

Rambo though, the films were entertaining in their time. Can't quite see it now, mind if it is successful, I wonder if there will again be a proliferation of 'rambo' type hunting knives, the type of things which are pretty useless unless you want to bring down a local mammoth or something.

In some versions of First Blood, they have an alternate ending included where he forces the colonel to kill him.

And on the new Rambo movie, I can't wait. Ever since that extra long and extra gory trailer from the Cannes (?) Film Festival debuted months ago, I've been on the edge of my seat.

Arnold is scheduled to start making movies after is term as Govenor is up. Terminator 4 is already in the works where Arnold only makes a quick camio apperance. The movie will most likely not hit the theaters untill atleast 2010.

Rather than being Comando, I'm ready to see Arnold take on another Preditor. Perhaps he can team of with Danny Glover.

After RAMBO gave himself up to authorites in Rambo III, I question how he's now living in an Asian Jungle. Unless this movie is basing the deals made with Uncle Sam in the Rambo Cartoon Series, I don't see how he could be out of Prison/Psych Ward and make it all the way to a remote jungle in Asia.

Other than that, I'm not having much disbelief in the making of this movie.

Nah, don't worry on that, that would be a special stunt, and so a double will be the teeth.

Eh, I wonder if Syl Stallone gets to hear of what people are saying about him?
