eyesopened -> RE: Why is it that you never.... (1/13/2008 4:44:55 AM)

The story reminds me of a conversation i had a while ago.  The Dom lived 2 hours away, we had IM'd a while but he had never wanted to talk on the phone.  One day he sends me a message says he's gonna be at some state park, camping and wants me to come meet him cuz it's closer to me.  i suggest we meet at a Waffle House that's on his way to the park.  He answers no, cuz he's going camping not going out to a restaurant.  my reply?

The headlines always read Hikers Find Human Remains in Remote Campground but i've never seen headlines that read Human Remains Found Near Pie-Case at Dennys.

Needless to say i was promptly called a fake and a wannabe LOL!

no..this one had over 50 victims.

you are probably referring to the pig farmer in BC Robert Pickton who just got convicted in December,  confessed to killing 49  failed with his 50th attempt  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Pickton

They found fur lined cuffs, a dildo he used for a silenced was doing cutting-blood letteing  - so medias sources may have connected it with bdsm

So true[:D].  If all you read are headlines about murders, you'd think hiking was the most dangerous thing one could do.  So many tragic and deadly things happen to hikers.  It's a risky activity apparently.

I think you may be referring to John Robinson.  Here's some links:

Luci,

Wow... what a strange way to spend a Sunday morning...

The Crime Library story you linked about John Robinson had a link at the bottom of the page with the name Charles Ng.  It caught my attention because the first time I ever saw the name "Ng" was at a prison in Leavenworth where I worked at the time... and happened to belong to an inmate by the name of Charles.

Strange what the mind recalls after 26 years, but it was an unusual name and I was stymied at the time on how to pronounce it.

At any rate, reading through the Crime Library story on Ng, I'm blown away to discover that it is the very same person... before he became a serial killer.

I suppose in and of itself that doesn't seem very unusual for a former prison inmate to later commit more crimes, but it's one of those "you never know" moments for me.  While I don't specifically recall meeting Charles Ng while I was working there, because of the nature of the work I did, I do know that at least on one occasion he sat across my desk from me.  But at that time, he was only a thief.

"Ing" is how it's pronounced.

Very interesting.  At that time, he was only a thief as far as we know[;)].  The story of Ng and Leonard Lake is a fascinating one.  They incorporated the ideas of bondage and slavery into their crimes.  It's things like they did that give the world at large a dim view of what BDSM is.  They kidnapped and tortured victims and the "slavery" was totally nonconsensual.

Funny that you'd mention Ng being a thief.  Him getting caught shoplifting is what led to their capture.  Lake swallowed a cyanide capsule and died while in custody.  Fascinating psychopaths, the both of them.  It's interesting that you mention encountering Ng before the world knew of his crimes.  The book I mentioned earlier in this thread is written by a guy who had two separate encounters with men who later become known as serial killers.  He writes about it in the beginning of the book.  Very interesting who you can bump into without realizing just what/who they are.  Scary indeed........................luci

ItalianSMistress -> RE: Why is it that you never.... (1/13/2008 10:53:03 AM)

I have always been fascinated by serial killers, way back to grade school, I remember one year, I did My annual speech on Charles Manson, and My teacher called in My parents, worried, cuz she said it sounded like I was siding with him, LOL.  I watch and read all I can, it is a true passion.  There are still many serial killers around, and in the recent past, many have ended their carrers (or have it ended for them, as it may be).  Like Pickton and BTK.  I find there is a fine line between what I do, and what they do.  Only seperated by self control and sanity.  The killers I am most interested in, are the sexual sadists, like Myself, so, mostly Bernardo, Ng, Parker and Hooker.  I have always had a special fondness for Manson, however, due to his ability to control and manipulate so many people.  Just for the record, I know My opinon is not the popular one, and I also now that most others that follow the same line of thinking, dont often say it out loud.

As far as UFOs go, I have no idea, LOL

The last sereal killer i heard of was in Russia....i think he was called chess-board killer. He wanted 1 dead for every squar on the board. He missed 2 it is said.

After reading some of this stuff it's astonishing that there are still people who don't believe in the death penalty.
That Robinson guy needs it just as "cruel and unusual" as it can possibly be made.
In his case it should take weeks!

yes i agree...i think ALL serial killers should get death penalty.  but lots of them end up in an asylum.  its a shame that they can play the legal system this way.  "i suffer from so and so...please get me to a psychiatrist...ill be good...i promise"  this 25 to life stuff with parole is pointless.
