we had a great tiem together. We were not 14 like kids are now when they have first time sex. We were both 18. We knew how to do it.
(hint: same spot as the fingers went   ;) ).

I wasn't looking for similar stories... you said you read it, and I wanted to know in what context. Until the product can be sold by anyone who has the product for the price, then I would consider it an anomaly and not a valid indicator of the real value.

In the example you gave, I find it hard to separate the selling of her virginity with the selling of herself for sex.  Not to start a fat girl/thin girl/ugly girl/beauty-in-the-eye-of-the-beholder thing, but if she resembled Jo-Jo the Dog Faced Boy, do you think the price would be the same??  So therefore, is it really the value of virginity, or the value of her for an act of sex??

Whether you are buying the virginity or the act of sex, the girl would have to be there during. Unless she can somehow be in another room throughout. Whether you're paying for the body of a JoJo or a supermodel, the price of virginity is likely be the difference in price that someone would pay before and after. It isn't something I imagine would be easily tested though.

So virginity may be like an optional extra, a sunroof. Some people might pay extra for it, some might not. Ultimately they're just buying the opportunity to have sex with someone. The price they would pay for that isn't so much the issue as whether a virgin costs more and by how much.

~Fast Reply~

Neither of us have much use for virginity. I got rid of my own as soon as I found a situation that was to my liking at the time. Even when I was a virgin, I only saw it as a way to attract people ("Look, I'm a virgin! I'm all pure and shit."). There was a time when I thought I would save it for marriage and then I realized that I'm too sexual - I wanted to enjoy sex and know that I would enjoy sex with my partner.

While I'm sure it is still valued by some, I've found my level of experience to be more of an asset than my virginity ever was. I certainly wouldn't pay for the virginity of anyone, male or female.
