Aneirin -> So, what's your poison? (1/12/2008 12:28:19 PM)

I am from the type of people who enjoy a drink, a drink being an alcoholic beverage, from time to time.Though I am not as bad as I was, something which I believe comes with age.(hey d. am better now).Hey, my fortieth consisted of two pints of Doom Bar and that was it.

But, I still drink now and again, beer mostly, though these days, two pints is a maximum, as is a glass or two of cabernet sauvignon.Rough red wines being a favourite.

Who else here enjoys a tipple, and if I may ask, what is your favourite and normal tipple?

Are you drinking it, or other now?

I'm drinking a Bud light right this very moment.
I usually drink beer or red wine.

I love a good cabernet as well.
And tequila.
And Guinness.
And a really nice scotch.

I say old boy…green tea and bottled spring water for me… oh yes a touch of the bubbly now and then….

YEA RIGHT

Beer and I don’t care what kind… can’t tell the difference in taste after the first 6 pack anyway so cheaper the better.

Never would have guessed it of me would you...[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m9.gif[/image]

Beer..preference is Belgian White varieties, but since my corner store only carries the usual convenience store varieties, I've been drinking IceHouse of late.

and not drinking now, since I'm  at work...

*sigh*

Whiskymac for me. Into a long glass put - A shot of whisky, an equal quantity of stones ginger wine and top it up with dry ginger ale or fiery ginger beer. That's a rarity though, only ever drink it around Christmas/New Year as I'm teetotal throughout the rest of the year.

I know miskey wacs so well, never again!!!!

It was funny watching my partner's teddy go around in the washing machine after she yakked on it! We did it with Irish whiskey and 'Stones ginger Wine'

I feel the same regarding Warvey Ballhangers!

Bombay Sapphire Martini with a lime-----I always have a bottle of the evil stuff in the freezer.

You'd like ballhangers though, judging from your profile

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: So, what's your poison? (1/12/2008 1:07:08 PM)

non alcoholic drinker (even while reviewing bands) - i'll have a Sprite plain, thank you

MissMorrigan -> RE: So, what's your poison? (1/12/2008 1:13:33 PM)

Admittedly, I have a penchant for ballhangers especially when they are bouncing on my knee or the toe of my boot.

as far as beer goes, i love anything dark and cloudy.  St Pauli Girl Dark, Guinness extra stout and Mocha Porter are among my favorites.
as far as wines go, i like them red and sweet
sambuca is among my favorite liqours the dark kind, not the clear.

I do admire people who can go without the mind alteration of alcohol. You must be a person who is totally happy within yourself, that I admire. My bestest friend who some of you know is the same.Though she may drink, I have yet to see it, but nothing that she imbibes will make her different from what she is, a truly good friend.

Not much of a drinker here, but if I do pour myself one, I like either Patron tequila or Crown Royal Special Reserve.  I can't stand the taste of beer...that shit is nasty![:'(]  I'm much more inclined for something non-alcoholic like Sunkist or Mountain Dew.

Aneirin -> RE: So, what's your poison? (1/12/2008 1:34:01 PM)

Tequila, I have not tasted, though I do admit to eating the worm, it had a taste, I suppose was tequila, as I expect not worm.My earthworms never tasted like that.

I did it as a dare, I can be that gross to try it.

DomKen -> RE: So, what's your poison? (1/12/2008 2:29:25 PM)

If I'm drinking what I prefer and price isn't an option I go for well aged single malt scotch.

For all around drinking with meals I like the better craft brewery beers. Goose Island is what I keep around the house, or a rough Cab.

I do have a soft spot for greasy bar food and good margaritas as well. Had a bottle of in oak aged tequila last year that was quite good as well.

Got that stuff right now... but I like it over ice.

Beer: a good unpreserved honey brown or red ale
Wine: shiraz or cabernet
Liquor: Grand Marnier
