I would not want to own a slave by email, however I do love email. I used to have a friend who would email me everyday about how his day went and so forth. Sometimes he would send me poetry or recipes, but there was always an email each day, and I found myself looking forward to checking my mail. There is nothing wrong with an email pal, but owning a slave through email, I couldnt do that. Now, if you would like to just email me with funny stories of your life or send a greeting card I would love it.

I agree that it would be boring and if you don't know the person you can't really be sure of who you are talking about. The closest I could see would be to share fantasy ideas if it was requested by your domme and there was sincere interest in meeting although, you still wouldn't know if it was real or just a cheap thrill.
Not for me. good luck with it though.

Emailing a slave and trying to control a complete D/s relationship only by emails isn't really practical. I know people use web cams as a way to show their submissive side. Personally I need my sub in person. With emails there's no way to prove or disprove that you've done assigned tasks. Have you tried subbing for someone for real? Is definately a different experience rather than email.

I can not imagine anyone living the lifestyle by email alone. How much can a person deprive themself of the experiences which are WIITWD? If a person wanted to talk by email, fine. But to serve? How can one serve a Dominant through email? How can someone be a submissive/slave just by email? In my beliefs you cant, it is just online roleplaying.
