If McCain wins in Michigan and in South Carolina than that will probably push him towards a win in Florida and he'll have all the momentum going into Super Tuesday.

I just cant imagine the GOP going for this guy. He's older than Reagan was when he was elected. He sponsored the largest amnesty bill in the history of the United States.

Yes, but he's very popular, and not just with Republicans. Mitt Romney seems to be intensely disliked, Guiliani (sp?) is too liberal for too many, Huckabee too religious. McCain fits in well enough in most areas that Republicans seem to care about, IMO.

I think it was Chris Mathews who interviewed McCain...When he mentioned that he favored "Intelligent Design" being taught in our schools.....I saw the interview just can't remember precisely who interviewed him.

Does this make you unelectable? Or should it? I think it is just plain fucking creepy. Our public school system is already in such disarray I don't see how it could hurt to remove science courses to promote a Christian agenda as to the formation of ourselves as well as everything that surrounds us.

It should be comforting to know that future generation of Americans will have jobs working for the countries that are actively promoting the teaching of technological skills...I mean these countries are going to need janitors, right?

Michigan on Tuesday is key... if Romney is able to pull off a win, that may push Huckabee to a win in South Carolina, and then Rudy will win Florida. That will give Rudy the lead in the delegates since Florida is a bit kooky in that they award ALL their 57 delegates to the winner.

It is too early to make such predictions. McCain has a momentum but it may disappear. If he wins he will be hard to beat by a democrat  opponent (dem. frontrunners have very little substance).

I generally like Mcain, his age is the main thing against him.  The idea of a Mcain/Guiliani ticket seems like a dream ticket to me.  Or a Mcain/Lieberman Unity ticket.

The bible belt isn't much of a factor this year. Huckabee may win South Carolina but he's going to struggle in states like Michigan and Florida because those states have such diverse populations. The only places Huckabee seems to do very well in are areas with high evangelicals.

Yeah but we've not seen a race like this in our lifetimes. Suddenly with that New Hampshire win, McCain is leading in Michigan, SC, Florida, and is even challanging Rudy in New York.

The moderate Republicans and independants all love McCain while the rest of the base is divided between Romney (economy), Huckabee (Religious-right), Thompson (right-wing), and Rudy (war on terror). So it looks like the moderates may win out this time.

Anybody who could spend 5 years being tortured in a Vietnamese prison camp, and then come out and support his

I am happy you want him to be in charge of both your military and law enforcement in the United States, but I prefer to support somebody whose cognitive faculties remain intact.

Did you see that in a *POLL* perhaps?
The Polls said Huckabee was going to take N.H. after winning in Iowa.

A Rasmussen and a Fox News poll shows McCain with a lead. Fox has him up 8 points.
