Hi,

I've just joined this site - I can't believe I haven't found it before! - and I was wondering: do female subs / slaves actively seek only either male Masters or female Mistresses?

I've been wondering what gender to put myself down as in my profile. Yes, I'm a male but I'm hardly the masculine Master that the straight females are looking for. Don't get me wrong, I'm not gay and I'm certainly not camp. My voice is soft and I've been told I have the mannerisms and body language of a woman. I'm not effeminate, just feminine-ish. Yet the Dr. says I have a normal testosterone count and when my body hair is not all shaved off I have quite a normal, healthy rug on my chest.

If I declare myself to be Male on my profile then I'll turn up in the search results of females who are looking for someone more masculine, if I put myself down as Trans then I'll be found by other TVs or gay men, which is not what I'm looking for. I'm straight and I'm looking to meet females, either as friends, play partners or as a longer-term slave so male contact is not what I'm after.

So I'm left with putting myself down as Female and letting my username tell the searcher very early on, before she's even clicked my name, what the score is. I'm not a liar or a deceiver and even though I've initally put Female I make no secret of the fact that I am a male Dom who dresses as a woman.

What do others think?

Hi Helen, welcome to Collarme/Collarchat.

This is just my opinion, but I think its a bad idea to list yourself as woman if your genitals are male and you want to use those genitals. To a casual observer it looks to be a deception.

Yes, I can see the difficulty of trying to pick a category for yourself. Currently you have yourself listed as a straight dominant woman which to me makes me think you are looking for guys. Of course, your profile makes it clear you are not.

If you listed yourself as lesbian, I would expect that women who are lesbian would complain to the managment. And if you list yourself as transgender you might only attract trans fans, who are typically male.

I think you might be better off listing yourself as a straight male. Your profile makes it very clear that you are not masculine. But if you want to sexually connect with women as a man, then I think this the most relevant descriptor.

Of course, this is just my opinion. But I hope whatever you decide that you will join us in the message boards for discussion. Your position is somewhat rare and it would be nice to hear from your point of view.
