Blackwater is now showing what they claim to be photographs of the damage their vehicles suffered due to being fired on in the September 17th shooting in Iraq. However, the actual vehicles involved were repaired and repainted days after the shooting and any parts replaced were destoried. One photograph shows a radiator from what they claim was the lead vehicle of the three vehicles involved. They claim that the lead vehicle was shot at first and so badly damaged it had to be towed away. Those who have seen the photograps say the pictures are not clear, nor is there anyway to tell when the photographs were taken. Some don't even show what type of vehicle the damage is on. The FBI says with the vehicles repaired and repainted and part destoried it make is harder on them to determine what happen. Blackwater claims the vehicles had to be repaired immediatly due to the State Department contract. The State Department has not commented. The claim that the lead vehicle was the first to be fired on is a change. Previously all reported that the rear vehicle first fired on a car that was moving toward the rear vehicle and it was the rear vehicle that was fired on.
