The word secure means diffrent things to all of us. it can be interpreted diffrently here are a few small examples.

If you tell a Sailor to secure a building he will tie a line around it drag it back to the ship and winch it down. The building is secure.

If you tell a Soldier to secure a building he will get 3 of his battles and clear out the building and stand post 24/7. The building is secure.

If you tell a Marine to secure a building he will get 3 of his battles and 3 of his Sailor shipmates, while the building is under supressive fire the Marines will clear out the building, kill all hostels and then provide 360 coverage until further instructed. The building is secure.

If you tell and Airman to secure the builing he will take out a one year lease with an option to buy. The building is secure.
