i'm not into pain, so i can't imagine myself asking for punishment. i do however, expect that if i need it, i will get it. It will be fair and deserved and i won't have to ask.

I will leave that up to my Master to decide. I feel it is proper for him to decide, and he hasn't asked me for any ideas. Fortunately, punishments have been fairly infrequent. [sm=crop.gif]

"Punishing" me by hurting me physically just isn't that much of a punishment[;)]. And, I realize that Master's mindset would make all the difference. If a spanking or flogging was given specifically as a punishment, perhaps it wouldn't be quite as enjoyable for sure. However, for us, all such physical activities are intended for pleasure and not as a punishment. Therefore, He doesn't utilize physical acts like those as discipline/correction............luci

I guess this depends on whether or not you the sub/slave have done something to deserve the punishment. If I did something to deserve being punished, I would not attempt to know what my Dom thought was a fit punishment for me. Now if your talking about asking for something that you enjoy that may be looked at as punishment. Like a spanking for instance, for those of us masochists out there thats not punishment thats fun. And if thats the case then yes I have asked, & it was complied with. [;)]

I've asked to be "hurt". Meaning that I would like the sensation of pain. And trust me, it's not something I ask for often. But I do not ask for punishment. There is a difference between experiencing the sensation of pain and being reprimanded for something done wrong. I've never understood why anyone would ask to be punished.

Back when i had some personal emotional/depression (non-clinical) issues (cutting, namely) i did ask for some punishment/guidance from the Man i was "with". He kind of complied and helped me. Not sure if i would have been so willing to finally stop if he hadn't agreed to help with the punishment/guidance... ~kitten~

As Katy said- are you asking for behavioral correction, or just to get hit on? I sometimes find it useful to brainstorm possible punishments when it gets to that point because I want to know where the head is at and what they are focusing on. But I find the less energy put into defining and carrying out the punishment, and the more focus put on the actual cause of the bad behavior, the better.

Perhaps you are meaning to ask for Discipline which can be seen as a session of punishment that you have requested? I have recently asked a few questions along this line thinking the two were the same but am happy now that i know the difference between these thanks to the posts from some others on this site. So yes i then went and told my Mistress about a long held fantasy of mine which involved punishment but in a session as decided by her but using some of those ideas i had in my head. I have yet to be informed of when or where this will take place...and they say not knowing is the best part!!!

Signus If My submissive asked to be punished I'd say "ok, but tell Me why you need punishment" when she'd told Me, I'd then decide for Myself if she needed punishing as well as how and when. Then I'd tell her what I'd decided and she would just have to live with the consequences. No point being the Dominant if I'm just going to do what she wants, when she wants -because- she wants.

i would leave it up to my Lord or my Mistress to decide if punishment was needed.the three of U/us had this discussion recently about some things and it was decided that if T/they do decide something is extream enough to be punished to go ahead and do so without hesitation but otherwise i would not even fathom asking for it.

At the beginning of a relationship I will always ask a girl what she considers to be an effective punishment for her, and what would be an effective reward. This is all part and parcel of getting to know her. But from there on I will find for myself what she responds to best, both in terms of reward and of punishment. To me "punishment" means something genuinely unpleasant, to be used as a deterrent or as a retribution. On those terms, nobody asks for punishment. If she came ASKING for punishment one day, I would find that rather disconcerting. But if she had done something wrong, then I would fully expect her to come and tell me. Not asking to be punished: just a straightforward admission of her error or failing. Any subsequent punishment would be entirely up to me, but naturally tailored to suit her own specific responses.

Well, sure I`ve asked for punishment. I usually behave like a total brat when I need it, but sometimes I just ask for it. Usually I want to be spanked =^.^= And Daddy loves it too. Or I just remind Him of that punishment He decided yesterday that I need... [:)]
