Quirk -> Freshly hatched and needs information... (1/16/2008 1:49:46 AM)

Hello Ladies,
I started in this as a submissive eight months ago; except I'm not. Just not in my nature. I'm Dominant, there's no question. I'm also a masochist, but that's not submissive, that's crossed wiring. And a hell of a lot of fun, but doesn't let me run any mind f***s on anybody. Besides, I like to use whips. :-D
So I need some good technical information on male genitalia and anatomy, ect. Preferably geared to torturing same in an erotic way with no damage? There's a local Femme Domme party where I can observe, but I'd like to go with good basic information so I'll understand what's going on and I can see the head game as well.

Any good books, web sites, other thoughts? I've seen this done but you can't really break into a scene and ask questions. A lot of things I've experienced- I just don't have any balls I want kicked. Sounds like a bad idea to me, but I keep hearing it.

Madame Quirk

This book has been recommended by many:

THE FAMILY JEWELS by Hardy Haberman

Well, it must be added that Hardy (sensibly, IMO) avoids the heavyduty edge play.  I advise checking out medical books, for the best information on the actual anatomy, and of course the interwebs.  Sorry, I am not a great web surfer!

And "dominant masochist" is a perfectly valid thing to be.

Hardy does that in his book, but have you ever listened to him in person?  He's willing to share a lot more in some of those about many aspect of this lifestyle, including advanced CBT. [8D]

Many local lifestyle organization regularly have live, educational demonstrations on various kinds of play.  One organization I belong to, had a demonstration the weekend before last on how to use sounds with both men and women.  I had never thought of using vibrators in conjunction with them until it was demonstrated to us as part of this class! [sm=whoa.gif]  That's one of the many benefits of getting involved in your local community and the organizations which may exist there.  Frequently, there are regional weekend events in many areas geared toward learning about the lifestyle and different aspects of play as well.  There's much to be learned which can't always be gleaned from reading books. Mark Ensinger lives in my area, and does the most hilarious demos with sounds!

The thing with books, and online forums!, is that folks are reading, and it is hard to learn some things from a book.  Imagine trying to cook something new if you have never cooked before.  Just what IS "golden brown and crispy"?   Watching things done in person is way more fun, and you have the chance to ask questions.

Freshly hatched: You made me laugh with that... [:D]

Nothing like a good book to send us off into dreamland...I haven't read The Family Jewels, and now I'd like to.

I agree with what Lady H said about seeing it in person. It's much more imprinted on the brain that way. I do like to watch videos over and over. I have some that friends have made. It's almost like being in the room with them.

Lady H,
Sounds like a fun girl's night-in, yes?
Sure would enjoy watching someone like Mark Ensinger up close, especially with those great sound effects.

Oooh- I've had sounds with a tuning fork, and damn was that great! Works on the G spot from a different angle. Vibrator might make your eyes pop out LOL.
The book sounds good, I shall skip off to Amazon. I've watched before, I will watch again, but we all learn differently. Even having watched and asked questions some hard information will be helpfull. And a pretty man who'll talk to me about it... I love clit torture myself, and have no plans to give it up- so I understand what's wanted, I just need to learn the different terrain better.

I'm involved in the local community, and go to anything educational. As the "new sub" it's often been no learning because I was used as the demonstrator and had too good a time. But education is a lifetime journey. Now that I have big black boots and spurs I won't get demonstrated on anymore. sigh. Getting one's whole body encased in spa wax is lovely for anyone.

Thank You Lady Hibiscus. Now that I've figured out my place- Dominant masochist- I'm ready to go in a way I never was before. People have spat the term "switch" at me- but now I have a lovely 'roo signal whip that I think will quiet them. And I've been using "Free Range Kink" lately. That's a nice exploratory place. Everybody should get to do that in their beginning.

I am a big fan of Midori's, and got so much validation from her in terms of what the possibilities of kink are!  I am an utter Luddite in many ways, so I don't have the links, but google her, and you can check out some of her writing.

And.........sounds and ELECTRICITY!  Only time electrical play really appealed to me...
