Seems to me if you are not a regular here on collarme or equal to the regulars who post, then your opinion is attacked.
What a joke. I have seen on the boards more bitch bickering then 2 girlscouts argueing over who sold more cookies.

Remember we are all human before anything!! We are all in this lifestyle for different things. I post here for how I feel and my outlook on how I live MY lifestyle.

I don't want anyone to respond to this in a negative way.. we are all adults here so act like it.

I would like to thank all who agree with me and wish everyone the best in what Life has to offer.

One has to realize that in any grouping of individuals there will be some who enjoy mud slinging, flaming, rattling cages, stirring the pot, creating controversy etc. It has nothing to do with BDSM, it is a human thing.
Folks sitting behind a keyboard may feel more free to fling insults than they would in person, because in person you have to look the other person in the eye while you say it and take the consequences. There are very few consequences for rudeness online. All you can do is hit the delete or block button.

I have seen all walks of life in this LifeStyle we choose to live but the question remain's, What is a Master?
I can only speak on behalf of myself in this artlice and what I do as a Master and what I think others Masters should be like. Keep in mind that I''m far from new to the lifestyle and your openions may not be the same as mine. I do not speak on behalf of the Gorean LifeStyle
1) A Master is Kind, Loving and above A/all Understanding to his submissive/slaves needs and thought's

2) A Master will take his time to teach his submissive/slave the ways and means of what makes him happy without lashing out in anger because he thought she was some kind of mind reader and should have know what she did made her Master angry.

3) A Master should never think about punishment towards his submissive/slave. Instead his thought's should be focused on being served well and pleasing his submissive/slave as she pleases him.

4) A Master is the protector of his submissive/slave. He will insure her that no harm will ever come to her and he will remain strong at A/all times.

5) A Master will only punish his submissive/slaves if she has disrespected him or has angered him after being told what not to do.

6) A Master will have an open line of communication between himself and his submissive/slave. Communication is the key to A/all relationships.

7) A Master will remain Loyal to his submissive as she would he.

8) A Master should never break the bond of trust between him and his submissive/slave. Once this trust is broken it will never be rebuilt.

9) A Master is given respect for the respect he has shown towards others

10) Above A/all, A Master will cherish every moment with his submissive/slave as if it was the last moment on earth

Beautifully said, and as any guidelines we may not measure up to all of them, but aspire to, or we may find we have to adjust them for the sub/slave we are dealing with. But I appreciated your sharing.

I think a good owner is like a good bra.

Supportive, worth the expense, helps you look and feel good about yourself and you may have to try on a few before you find the one that fits you perfectly.

*ROTFLMAO* Thank you, what a great mental image!!!! I love it!

One person's dream sadist is another person's full of shit abuser.

Someone once said to me "Find a true man and within lies a Master"
I guess now the question becomes "what is a true man?" *lol*

Zensee -> RE: What Is A Master (9/5/2004 4:34:47 PM)

The description MasterMalice offers is of his own style of dominance. I have learned that not only are there a vast number of nuances within general categories, but that what works and doesn’t work for any particular person can be highly specific.

Another thing I have learned is that terms get worn smooth from rough handling and are made slippery with intimate use. Defining terms is the first step to having a cogent discussion.

I have a specific and evolving understanding of the terms Master and Mistress. All Masters and Mistresses are Dominants but not all Dominants are Masters and Mistresses. The distinction between the two is still a bit nebulous, for me, but I think it has to do with extending your duty beyond your partnerships and personal interests by actively and consistently fulfilling a duty to your community.

Like they say of pornography, I can’t define it but I know when I see it.
