Bonnie Tyler

Something about the fiery desperation in Bonnie's voice renders me an emotional mess.  Every time "Total Eclipse of the Heart" comes on the radio, I demand total silence to really feel out the mood.

"Once up a time, I was falling in love, but now, I'm only falling apart.
There's nothing I can say.............a TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART."

No Kana, you're not.

I fucking loved that show, damn it was great. The changing in the bureau, awesome, and the venus flytrap soul brother voice, it had it all.To this day I wish I could talk like that.

I never want to see it again, it would probably suck and then another childhood memory would be dashed.

Leave me to my rose hued nostalgic memories.

Spiderman, Spiderman,
Does whatever a spider can
Spins a web, any size,
Catches thieves just like flies
Look Out!
Here comes the Spiderman

Is he strong? listen bud,
he's got radioactive blood,
can he swing? from a thread,
take a look overhead.
Hey there! There goes the Spiderman.

In the chill of the night,
At the scene of the crime,
Like a streak of light,
He arrives just in time!

Spiderman, Spiderman,
Friendly neighborhood Spiderman.
Wealth and fame, he's ignored—
Action is his reward.
To him,
Life is a great big bang-up—
Wherever there's a hang-up,
You'll find the Spiderman!

Dedicate this to Miss M  LOL

My eyes adored you
Though I never laid a hand on you,
My eyes adored you
Like a million miles away from me you couldn't see
How I adored you:
So close, so close and yet so far away

Carried your books from school,
Playing make-believe you're married to me:
You were fifth grade, I was sixth
When we came to be
Walking home every day over Barnegat Bridge and Bay,
Till we grew into the me and you
Who went our separate ways

Tonight I found myself driving down the road listening to the radio just digging on some old Boz Scaggs(Lido Shuffle). The hidden secret of my life is that I am a total sucker for lots and lots of cheesy 70's music, things like Gerry Rafferty (Baker Street kills me dead),, Seals and Crofts and America. I even like old funk. Its just stuff I grew up listening too and then moved past as I moved into the "cool teenager" stage of existence and went for things like Led Zeppelin, Floyd, Rush, etc.... But I still love all that old stuff and if it hits in the car when I am driving alone, man am I just cranking it up and singing along, air guitar and all.
So time to fess up, whats the dark musical secret of your life?

Kana,
You should definitely check out the thread's that Level has started called (I believe) "Level's Jukebox."  He is our resident music expert and, like me, loves all that ole cheesy 70's stuff too.  He went to YouTube and posted videos of all the old songs we all said we liked.  So cool!  I love almost all cheesy 70's music but the deepest darkest secret of all is probably.....drum roll.....Chuck Mangione's "Feels So Good."  .  There......I've said it.......admitting your problem is the first step to getting help, right? .............luci

I love that thread *gets all teary-eyed*

I know a lot of 70's and 80's music, much to the surprise of most people who catch me singing a tune. I like Duran Duran, The Knack (muh, muh, muh, my sharona!), B-52's, Culture Club, The Eagles/Don Henley, Peter Gabriel, Robert Palmer, Genesis/Phil Collins, Sting, etc......
I suck at Rap........Damn, it's true, I'm a fucking oreo.........Well, the true is I like all kinds of music, I even listen to Limp Bizkit, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Prodigy, Tim McGraw, SheDaisy, Sarah Brightman, etc......better quite while I'm ahead.
