this is one statement i definitely have to agree with. however, the idea of just one week doesn't quite cover it. it would be three weeks so they could deal with premenstrual and post menstrual syndrome as xoel pointed out. when it comes my 'happy period' even my own mother avoids me! she even takes my son for a few days so i don't terrify the poor boy.
at the minute, i'm having one hell of a 'happy period' i've been bleeding now for almost two weeks and i ain't happy about it. i've barely been able to get out of bed most days and even my best friend cathy is terrified to knock on my door. hell, i can't even enjoy a bath or a shower because of it. i end up having to clean the floor coz "whoop-de-f***ing-do" it's down my legs before i've even had the chance for a new pad.
'happy period'? yeah right. whatever planet that Thatcher guy is on, i'd love to be there too. i can bet you he's probably never been married, probably never had a daughter, or if he does, he's run for the f***ing hills so he doesn't have to risk his life!
